By JohnJune 2, 2020Renovate a house$155,000
I hired Jamie Jaramillo to renovate flip a house for my team. Jamie made a promise that he could complete the work in 12 weeks and he gave us a lump sum for the entire project. We negotiated progress payments for milestone completions.
Jamie has never made a milestone date on time. He continually has excuses on why he can't complete the work.
The project is currently at 17 weeks and he is still not complete.
He has threatened to walk off the project numerous time When I pushed him about completing the project, he again threatened to walk off the project. My firm sent him a letter which advised him to drop the threats and complete the work. He hasn't shown up. I am now faced with replacing him.
The ironic part of the story is that when we applied for the building permit, the township official told me he was bad news. Furthermore, many of his own subcontractors throughout the project informed that Jamie does not complete work. I tried to push through and complete with him. However, he proved himself impossible to work with and not a man of his word. Thankfully, I have engaged some of his subcontractors to complete the project.
I would recommend to NOT get involved with Jamie. If you do, it will most probably wind up disastrous. -

BUYER BEWARE!
Jamie Jaramillo did not meet a single deadline. He told me he was doing the small job as a favor, but the lack of timeliness contributed to my losing a home purchase. Finally a home inspection of my home by a buyer of my home required a new water heater. Immediately. Jamie asked for payment for the job up front, but knowing his lateness, I put down approximately $870. As expected , Jamie did not show for the appointment on the following Monday. When I called he told me he and his crew had the flue. I told hIm that because I needed it done that day, I would use a more expensive service and could he just put the check in the mail. That was 3 months ago. I have called him repeatedly and suggested he pay in installments or do some work at my new home. No response. I am retired and that $800+ represents a significant sum to me. Do Not Use Jamie Jaramillo!

He is a FRAUD!! He took us an advance payment to do our basement bar. promised to start work in Mid August and get it done in 1 week. Took an advance of $3000. Never showed up to do work and is not picking calls or returning the advance amount he took in the first place. He constantly lies and is never on time.
