It is pleasant to work with a contractor who is personable, shows up on time, is professional, and comes within budget. I highly recommend Mr. Bordenave for any of your excavation, septic, road, or foundation projects. I am certain I will call him in the future.

Extremely competent and efficient for our foundation and excavation needs. Knowledgeable, honest, and came in on budget and on time. You cannot ask for a better contractor than Mr. Bordenave. We have used other contractors on other projects before, but using Mr. Bordenave was one of the best experiences we have had. We will use him again. You should too.

Jayce did horrible work for me in setting up a house-build. He would tell my general contractor how he didn’t really need the work and had tons of work waiting for him. It showed. Actually he walked away from my job when I still needed him and would not return phone calls. Jayce backfilled the foundation with gobs of roots and other tree waste. He did absolutely no compaction during backfill anywhere, whether at the foundation or building sewer or in a long utilities corridor. This has caused massive problems with settling especially where I have condensers set near the house for mini-splits. I had cleaned out roots and hand-filled/compacted the condenser area several times and it is still settling after 2.5 years. The sewer line and septic tank fill also settled massively, up to 12 inches, which has caused a large dip in the driveway. Luckily, the building sewer line settled mostly before the sidewalk was put in almost a year later. He set a driveway culvert too high contrary to engineered plans and I had to pay another contractor $1000 to reset it. He installed the water service connection and after some time, water started showing on the ground surface around the meter. Both the city and I communicated with Jayce about the problem several times. He promised he’d stand by his work and I verified 2-3 times that he would be out to fix it in a timeframe he specified. He never showed and the city finally contracted to have it repaired. Their contractor spent 2-3 hours on site and showed/testified that the union joint nut was only hand tight (documented on video). He also did not perform a finishing task that the water system inspector asked him to finish. Jayce’s original estimate morphed and changed several times and many things were added. Jayce lied to me about standing behind his work and about being there “next week” to fix the problem. I wouldn’t trust him for any job ever again.
