DO NOT HIRE THIS PAINTER! He will leave you high and dry. I hired him to repair and paint a ceiling and remove kitchen countertops before the granite company came to install a new countertop. Paid him up front (which was so stupid on my part) and he took my money and ran. Never showed up to finish the ceiling, which he left with big patches of plaster and not sanded, said he would be back to finish the ceiling and remove countertops, unhook sink etc. before granite company came to install the new countertop. Never saw him again. Being a senior citizen I had no other means to get this accomplished by myself.
He scammed me out of a lot of money and left my faith in mankind shattered.

    Kitchen remodel

John assisted me in refinishing a kitchen, a bathroom and installing tile flooring. He did what he said that he would do, was easy to communicate with throughout the project and delivered a quality result.

    paint,trim,drywall etc
    $15,000

If I could give JC Contractor negative stars, I would. He was hired to do a job within a timeframe/deadline that we needed the job completed. He busted the deadline by weeks. That's one issue, the next issue is quality of work... his quality work is atrocious. Painting, drywall and trim work all looked like someone who was doing it for the first time. It was literally ridiculous. John Claire continuously lied and made excuses when asked to correct his errors. He is NOT a man of his word and is completely untrustworthy. If JC contractors were the last contractors on earth, I would still NOT use them. Save yourself time/money and major headaches, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

    House remodel

John Clare, owner of J.C. Painting and Home Remodeling was hired to completely remodel the interior of our home. Every single project he was hired to do was extremely unprofessional and incomplete. A brand new walk in tile shower was installed in our master bath without the proper floor base resulting in leaking issues and needing to be completely redone. The tiles on the walls were cut crooked and not level when installed. The floor was covered in low spots that resulted in water puddling. Shelves in the shower had edges that were not properly finished and the hole cut around the shower head was cut so big that the metal plate did not cover it. The kitchen was to be completely gutted and remodeled. Brand new kitchen cabinets were not installed using the flanges above and below the cabinets, instead they put dozens of holes in the cabinet backs, some that had screws, and some that did not. On top of that, shelves were also missing from the insides of some of the cabinets. When our countertop company came to make a template the gentleman could not take measurements and get his template due to lack of preparation and work not completed correctly by Johns employees. The farmhouse sink was crooked and the double oven was not installed in the cabinet as requested. This resulted in countertops being pushed back several weeks. Paint and drywall work throughout the home did not look professionally done. Cracks, holes, nail pops, and crooked lines were just some of the issues. Every material used in this remodel was the absolute cheapest product available and when we requested something of better quality there was always an argument. Prices on invoices were constantly changing without any explanation. At one point we attempted to address an increase in price that was not discussed and he claimed his software must have just changed it without him knowing. Later he changed his story and told us prices were increased because his wife felt things had been underpriced. We were constantly having to remind John when materials needed ordered. We spent countless hours in and out of our home keeping an eye on progress and having to call him when things were not correct because he was rarely found on the job-site as he said he would be. All in all it seemed that his employees were learning as they went. None of the men were skilled in any aspect of this project. John was very unreasonable, unprofessional, and unskilled throughout the project. Completion date was quickly approaching and we felt we should discuss some things that were not satisfactory. He became irate when we attempted to address the issues and told us “I came prepared for you today!” That was the last time we saw him and his employees. They never showed up again and left our home a mess. Over the next few weeks we spent hours having contractors come through the home and give quotes to fix everything he had done incorrectly. Cleanup of spilled paint, pain overspray, caulk spills, and general construction dirt took weeks to complete, all of which he was also supposed to do upon completion of the project. I would not recommend that anyone spend their money and hire this business. We have lost thousands of dollars that we can’t get back and then had to turn around and find someone to fix what he and his employees did not complete correctly. John is not the guy you want to hire for any project, whether painting, carpentry, tile work, etc. Save yourself the stress and find someone else!

Hired JC painting to paint my father's home, who recently passed away. JC shared he was getting back on his feet after being a recovering addict, and also having the Lord on his side. We gave him a shot. WORST DECISION EVER!!
Sloppy, sloppy work. Among the many imperfections, the one that blows my mind is that he did not paint completely to the molding. Each door frame/window frame has four inches not painted. Giving JC a chance to make good on his unprofessionalism, my family scheduled an appointment with him @ 9:00, September 22....yep, no show. We tried contacting JC, would not return our call. JC made contact a few days later stating his Mother was ill, that's why he did not show up for our appointment. Completely understand, family comes first. it is now three weeks later and JC again will not return our calls. We now have a home on the market to sell, with sections not finished. We do not know the color name/code to buy the paint to finish ourselves. Shame on you JC!!! A true professional would own his mistakes. Not this guy....obviously, he's not a man!!! This is clearly not over. My family will continue to contact the proper individuals so that this does not occur to other consumers. Again, JC was hired to paint our Father's home who passed away....he has disgraced our family home, not cool JC! You are one smooth talker! We gave you a chance dude.....
