I never post reviews... but felt compelled to with this one. I contacted JCZ Residential about a month ago to get a quote for an interior door fix. The company that put in our water softener, dropped the softener down the stairs and it busted the frame out. A very nice man from JCZ came out at the beginning of January and it was pointed out to him that there was a small crack on the outside of the door on the trim piece that needed fixed, and also the frame itself needed fixed, so it could shut properly. I was told we would have the invoice by the end of the week, so we could send it to the company who was paying to fix it. I got a text from Matt, on Friday, January 8th, 2 days after the quote saying “I should have it to you tonight”.... come next Monday morning, and I had to reach out to get a quote. The quote literally said “Door repair.” I brushed this off, no big deal, but had a bad feeling about it.
Fast forward, a few days, they were paid in full and we were contacted on January 14th to schedule the door repair. We agreed to January 27th between 8-9am.
Come January 27th at 902am, and no one showed up. I texted Matt at 902am and asked if we were still on for the day, no response. I text again at 919am, no response. I finally get a response at 10:03am basically saying “Our guy was hurt and I’m sorry, we can schedule you for the same time tomorrow.”
That was perfectly okay with me. I got another text that night, reminding me that someone would be at our house the next morning at 8am, Matt and Paul would be there. We were glad everyone was safe, and brushed it off. Here comes the next day....
I get a text at 747am, basically saying Paul can’t come because he still isn’t feeling well and “We have a meeting this morning, so one of us will likely reach out to get you rescheduled”
So I finally text back and say that I am disappointed but look forward to someone coming out.
Then I get a text less than an hour later saying “Shane is available and can come out today”
So we agree to this, and at 1010am, we are told Shane will be at our home any minute. Flash forward an hour later... Shane finally shows up. Has really no idea what type of job he is to do, or where the door even is. Didn’t wear a mask in our home, or put booties on his extremely dirty feet, and tracked snow down our stairs. He takes the inside custom door frame piece out in 5 minutes, takes it away and comes back over 2 hours later with a new piece. Puts the piece in and leaves. All fine and dandy. Except the giant crack on the outside trim piece that we wanted fixed... wasn’t fixed. So I texted Matt this morning with my concerns, and no response. To say I am appalled and disappointed, is an understatement. We didn’t even PAY for this, and I am still this upset.
