Picone construction is a stand up company. There should be a website for contractors against clients who write wrong reviews or a disgrutal sub contractor or employee that could just write what they want without it being screened first. They did several projects for me and they worked in a professional manner and I am going to hire them again.

John has done several jobs for me he has done exceptional work. Obviously the one bad review the individual couldn’t even spell and John told me it was a disgruntak employee. John renovated my absent fir me and did s great job he did all the work from the drawings to the final painting. He did exactly what tine contract stated and even went above and beyond. It is a shame that anyone could write a bad reviews it is not fair. And John dies have a license and insurance.he and his guts are very professional

John, along with his employees, are terrible painters. The problem began even before I hired them. He canceled our appointment 5 times for various reasons. Then they rushed the project, left paint stains on the floor, cabinets, and trim. They also did not cover the heating and cooling unit inside, so it was full of paint chips chips scraped from the ceiling. He said they did a "great job" and "cleaned up" after themselves. The pictures tell a different story. Added to the cost at the end and asked for checks written to him personally rather than the company name. He said the price was because he would have 3-4 guys here with him, but had 1 worker 1 the first day and 2 workers the second day. Total scam!
Despite all this, I decided to give him one more chance to come clean up and finish some trim work. He canceled 5 times and I finally had enough.
In sum, DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. Sub-par service was offered at my place and I could have done a better job myself. He will just give you a bunch of excuses for why he doesn't show up when he said he would. I am giving him one star because I have to select an option, but that us more than he deserves.

John did a great job for me! Even stayed at the house late to finish painting. I see some bad reviews here but my experience was the total opposite. Kept me informed every step of the way through the job. I'll be calling him again and I highly recommend.

I hired John the do a family room project. He was honest with me and my wife. He did a great job and is very professional. We are pleased.

John did his first job for mebit was a basement remodel he took the project from start to finish and a had no problems with him. He did what he said and went above and beyond my family was pleased with him and would recommend him.

Do not hire. Run away as fast as you can.

I would recommend john to anyone he is a stand up guy and he puts a lot of time and effort into his work and it shows.

My husband and I will stand up for this guy. He did and addition project for us and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He told us of the guy who write the negative review on his company. And had his wife and other relatives submit false statements. We heard this guy who puts down fake names wouldn't pay him and wouldn't give back his tools karma is powerful. Thank you Cathy and joe.

Are we sure we are talking about the same company here. The john I know has helped us and done some amazing work he is very talented and very clean. He brings his two sons on the jobs on Saturdays. He is a family guy and a great owner worker. It seems to me that it is the same person having family and friends knock him down. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. John D. Picone, JDP Construction, JDP Enterprises PA License # PA051826 is a crook. Started my project three months ago, stole my money and now abandoned the project. Hiring a lawyer to sue him. The only reason I gave him one star is because I couldn't give him zero. UPDATE: 06/09/2015: If you don't believe me just look up in the Court of Common Pleas, Carbon County PA file # 14-0833. That's my judgment against Mr. Picone in the amount of $6,740.00.

I am in the middle of a project with this guy and regret ever hiring him. Two months into a ten day project and still no material on site.

JOHN PICONE IS THE BIGGEST LIAR I HAVE EVER MET. HE STARTED MY REMODELING JULY 2012 AND TO DATE SEPT 2013 NOT COMPLETED. TOOK MY MONEY AND HAS MADE MORE EXCUSES WHY HE CAN'T FINISH BECAUSE HE SPENT MY MONEY AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY TO BUT MATERIAL TO FINISH THE JOB. YOU MADE ME CLICK ON THE STAR TO SUBMIT.
