    Kitchen and Bath remodel
    $53,000

    This was my first big project at my new home, and I was so nervous. I went through a long process of choosing contractors, and ended up going with JEA because of the amount of references they were able to give me and all the good things those references said. Jak has knowledge of pretty much everything. And if he is ever iffy on something (which is almost NEVER) he gets a second opinion from an expert in that certain field, which I really admire instead of just guessing. Will definitely hire them again for my next project!! They are very professional and do great work!

    Dishonest and charge for an array of mystery fees at the end of the job. While we like supporting family businesses, I cannot recommend someone who is so dishonest on the back end while pretending the price will be very low at the beginning. Quality of work is low to average. Lots of cut corners to save them money and yet added fees at the end as well. Beware. Do a ton of research and ask: why can't I find more reviews from a legitimate business?

    I have nothing but good things to say about JEA Construction. I had JEA do a full rehab on a 3 unit building, and I couldn't have asked for a better contractor from beginning to end. The GC really knows his stuff, is honest, and made a really big job much less stressful than I expected it to be. I ended up with a beautiful finished product, and could not be happier. I would highly recommend JEA Construction to others.

    I wanted to have a bedroom, closet, hallway, and pantry remodeled, I was given a quote and the work began. When the final product was "returned" to me, I walked in and found a very unfinished and poor product.

    To name a few things:
    * There were broken boards/trim that will have to be replaced
    * Paint, Smudges, Scratches all over the trim that was "good"
    * The stain that was on the trim and door was the same color as the flooring, not the same color as the original trim throughout the house
    * There were lighting cans in the ceiling that were installed and then he had lights installed within the cans the shredded the cans, all have to be replaced.
    * The flooring was stained and varnished, but before having done so the dust from sanding was not cleaned up and the dust got all through the layers of coating making the dried product very rough.
    * A door was not sanded, or it was just low cost, and I ended up a rough door that has slivers.
    * I originally had a smoke detector, which disappeared
    * I had a light in the hallway, the cover of which disappeared
    * A door for a pantry was promised, but never provided

    Also, I had told him work that I wanted to have done, he agreed. Then he came in and started doing work that he decided he wanted to do. We had to correct layout a few times. He has billed me for these corrections.
