Permits
- Building permit records show that Jeff Smith Builders has worked on 39 permitted projects.
We had the worst experience ever hiring this man. We wanted the siding on the front of our house changed including the trim. He asked for three thousand dollars up front money to start our project so we gave it to him. We found out later that legally a contractor can only ask for 10% of the estimate or $1000 whichever is less. That was in October of 2021. He would promise to start the job but would always have an excuse and then not show up. Weeks would go by and no word. He finally had someone come over and take some of the siding off. Weeks went by and that same "guy" came over and put four boards up that took him four hours to do. I went out to check on his work and it was so bad that we sent the guy home and texted Jeff and fired him. We had hired a con man. That was in the middle of December and we have lost our $3000 have a wall with no siding. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.
We were fortunate enough to find a contractor who was able to come out the next week and competed the job in a week, just before the rains came.
