    Buyer Beware. Get a contract, in WRITING. NO upfront money. Make sure he will be liable for any cost overruns. If he has to correct something, make sure he is the one to pay not you. He will steal from you if you give him the opportunity. Very poor construction. Not very much built to NC Building Code. He doesn't know what he is doing. Might be able to build a dog house, but I'm not sure. Multiple instances where he cut corners and had to have work redone by someone who knew what he was doing. Trusses place backwards, things out of square & not plumb, site not properly graded prior to starting construction, improper headers, stacks in wrong places, stairs not built to code, windows for future bedroom area not to code, improper design for living space, no flashing on roof prior to siding placement, no carriage bolts on trusses while being erected, no planning for HVAC or plumbing & no place to put it, etc. etc. The list goes on and on. Nine months after he was fired I'm still dealing with this nightmare of a so called "BUILDER" and the mistakes he made.
