    ? Homeowners in NJ/Ocean County – Be Warned ?

    If you’re considering hiring Jeffrey P. Fabian Jr. Construction for home improvement work — DON’T. I hired him to replace my interior and front doors and paid thousands up front. He dragged out the job for nearly a year, gave excuse after excuse, and left the job incomplete.

    I had to involve the police who gave him a final warning or face charges. Only then did he return my money.

    Don’t put yourself through what I went through.

    On May 10 2021 I paid Jeff Fabian Jr $6993.00 for work to be done at my house. This check was for front door, slider, and storm door. For 2 years he claimed the delay was on covid supply issues. I never received the slider or storm door. About 6 months ago he had the wrong front door delivered. I told him it was the wrong door and sent him a picture. He apologized and said yes it was incorrect. He said he would reorder the correct door. For a few months he just told me next month or middle of month. Now he is refusing to return calls, texts, emails. I have been forced to go with a new contractor to order my products and install them. I want my money back that he stole from me. I have contract he initialed and check from bank.

    We were very disappointed in this contractor's timely response. We were first told that the project would be done by summer. That didn't happen. Then it was to be done by July 4th. That didn't happen. Then it was by the time we had a house full of company. No communication. When we contacted him, he got very nasty and said we could find someone else and hung up on us.
