He left me without air conditioning for a whole summer. He kept saying he was going to come fix it and never show up, or he would say one thing was wrong with it then come back and say another. Then he would say I have to go get the part I'll be back, then he would not show. I called his house repeatedly and he would never answer. My landlord tried calling and he would not answer his calls either. Then one day out of the blue with no notice he showed up, found out my land lord had called someone else, threw a huge fit. He yelled at me that " if your land lord has some one else looking at it I am ever working for him again". Mind you this was 2 months since the last time we had heard from him. He jumped in his "milk truck" as I like to call it and reversed and came with in an inch of hitting my car. I will never use this guy again! He has no manners or basic human decency! He used appalling language in front of my children. There is no excuse for such bad behavior. The worst part is that my land lord went out and bought this guy the part he said he needed the first time he came and he never even returned it to him. We had some one else fix it. It took the guy 1 hour and he was very pleasant and kind.

I would highly recommend JEM Heating and Cooling. If their machine states that they are booked for a certain amount of time, it's because he is the best at what he does!!! By telling you that he is booked up, he gives you the opportunity to call someone else; I, personally, would wait for him to come work on my heating and cooling because I know he will do the best job. He is a good, honest, Christian man and will treat you well and charge you a fair price.
Thank God he puts little children, senior citizens, and those with health issues first. -

Mr. Smith I'm not sure what the situation was but that does not sound like the John that I know. John has been my heating & cooling man for around 20 years, shortly after he started the company. John has allways been very prompt, sometimes coming at night working by flashlight and especialy when my daughter was younger and had trouble breathing due to asthma. He has had my a/c unit into so many peices that I thought it would never go back together. But it did and is still working great. He doesn't try to sell you anything tht you dont really need. If he can repair it, he will. He encourages preventative maintanence to avoid costly and unnessesary repairs. He stands behind his work. Hes an honest, trustworthy, hard working, not afraid to sweat, do whatever it takes kinda guy. That even takes off his shoes at the door to not track mud on your carpet kinda guy. John may be busy but that is because he is so good at what he does and is definatly worth the wait. I would strongly recommend John - JEM Heating ang Cooling to anyone without hesitation.

John has provided heating and cooling service for us for 12 properties for the past several years. He is always willing to assist us with any problems we may be having. He is prompt, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. John is always learning and works hard at keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies. His work for us has always been FIRST RATE!!! We highly recommend John for any heating and cooling jobs.

I have NEVER met a more hard working & honest man in my life! He showed up in the hottest part of the day & worked till he fixed our a/c & he was cheaper than the other people I talked to PLUS he will come back if needed with just a phone call. He is always busy and does get backed up like anyone else but I have seen him out fixing a/c units from sun up to dark~ a very hard working man~!
This guy is just awsome!! 2 thumbs up & then some!! -

This is a one-man company. He can't make every single customer his #1 priority, especially during the summer and winter when he's out working past midnight, though, he does put the elderly and sick ahead of healthy people.
Sometimes the answering machine says that he can't take calls because he's fully booked for a whole week. This allows people a chance to call other technicians instead of waiting a WHOLE WEEK.
He has NEVER sold a coil for $800, and, since he deals directly with the OWNERS of the buildings, a renter wouldn't know any of the details of the transaction.
Yes, sometimes his truck breaks down. That's because it's loaded down with tools and parts, and he drives it over half the state. He also goes out of town for schooling so he can be better at what he does. I don't see how either of those things can be used against him.
If a technician working nearly 24 hour days for people all over WV and Ohio and barely making any money off it isn't good enough for someone, nothing will be. -

This guy is lazy and never shows up to do his job. I sat around for a whole summer and half of the next waiting for this guy to come and fix our a/c. This is no exaggeration. I called him my self and his answering machine says " Jems is no longer taking calls for repairs".I will never use him or recommend him for any job. When he did show up, he said my A/C was broken, but then called my land lord and said it was not. I had to have words with him to get him to call my landlord and tell him he did in fact tell me it was broken. My land lord paid for a $800.00 coil to be changed and Jem had the part in his truck and kept giving our land lord the run around about why he could not come fix it. First his truck was broken down, then he was out of town, then summer was over and he was no longer working on a/c's. He is worthless.
