    Build a house
    $198,000

    Unsatisfactory by all standings. We have had major issues with our home door in garage leaking and flooding garage moisture ruined 3 pieces of our furniture.French doors not shutting properly, wrong henges put on exterior/interior doors , driveways not level and chipping also, back patio stucco just slopped mess on patio floor after buying a home. Have had numerous people come back to fix matters as to be they are sub contractors off Craigslist doing in unsatisfactory work and leaving with us the mess. After contacting the owner of Jen homes I will be more than certain to state that the owner Is very unprofessional in consideration that my issues deserved to be hung up on the phone. Definitely a make money and build away company. My suggestion is to custom build if you can.

    Poor contractor

    Poor leadership! Company shows up at 4:00 am to pour concrete with crane trucks, multiple concrete trucks, 15 people beating on form boards. No reguard to anyone. Horrible to deal with. Do not recommend

    15875 SE 98th Terrace- home is very nice! We are enjoying it! We have added a lot of extras! We are having a problem getting a driveway repair completed! Builder said they would correct and has not been solved!

    New home build
    $136,600

    Experience could have been significantly better with very little effort on the part of Jen Homes. To be fair, as buyers we should have done a bit more research on our part. The application process for the loan construction was fairly easy and painless. JH uses USDA Rural Development home loan financing as their primary funding source. There are income limits and you have to be outside of the city limits of Ocala. A few hoops to jump through but worth it. JH has lots to choose from or you can build on your own. The build takes 3-5 months depending on weather factors, permits, etc. You can pick and choose between colors/patterns with regard to tile, carpet, paint, shingles, etc.
    As with all builders in Florida, contractors use subs for most of the build. The pad, shell, roof were all well done and timely. Interior work left more to be desired. I felt pressured to close before I was ready. I travel extensively for my job and have to plan my return trips to Ocala at least 2 weeks in advance. With USDA funding being a government source; when funds become available they need to be used in a timely manner or you may have to re-apply (at least that is my understanding.) As a result I closed before doing my final walk through. I know have a fairly long list of items that JH needs to correct. All very minor but a pain in the butt never-the-less. It doesn't help that it's Christmas weekend.
    If JH is prompt in correcting in correcting the problems I would feel comfortable in giving them a better rating.
