I hired Jose to gut and sheetrock my 2 bedrooms and bathroom. He insisted on it being a cash job, which I did not prefer but decided to have him do 1 bedroom first before moving on to the other bedroom and bathroom. The room came out good but there were some unfinished items that he said he would do when he came back for the other rooms. While 3/4 of the way through the job for the second bedroom and bathroom he disappeared. He had already asked for a majority of the money so there was not much of an outstanding balance. I had to hire another contractor to finish the job and fix the things he did wrong. I still find things wrong such as my bathtub leaks into the basement and my window leaks when it rains. He also took $400 of flooring from me that he never gave me the money for before disappearing.
