I would like to share an excellent review. I received this wonderful telephone call from my parents who were very excited to share some very good news. The work had been completed on their home and they were well pleased. As I shared with Jimmy, the owner, when Mom’s happy, everyone is happy. They are very pleased with the work that had been completed and can not wait for me to come home and see what has been accomplished. This is a dream come true for them. When I came home last month, I did not recognize the home from the outside. It was beautifully done. I will be coming to Virginia soon to check out the completed kitchen and bathroom. I would like thank J.F. Memmer Contracting for taking the time to recommend what was needed, writing up excellent plans, completing the project, and sowing into the lives of the elderly. More than anything, keeping your word on completing an excellent project in a timely manner is very important. As we know, word of mouth is the best advertisement. Thank you for a job well done. I would definitely recommend the services of J F Memmer Contracting.

Permits

Mr. Memmer came highly recommended; however, he did not perform well for us. We were very impressed with him when he came to submit a bid and hired him without checking references or reviews. He was always slow to get things done, but we thought he probably had more lucrative projects that he worked on instead of ours. We entered an agreement with him on August 25, 2023. As time went on, he showed up less and less to have work done on our project. It got to where he might come one day and do one thing and then it might be weeks before he showed up again. Finally, he stopped responding to our texts and stopped showing up. It has been over a year now since we entered into our agreement with him. We finally hired another contractor who is really great. He states we should be in our new addition within 6 weeks. Things have been happening so fast that we think it might be even sooner.
We have had sub-contractors contact us wanting us to pay them for work that has been done. We have already paid Mr. Memmer for that work to be done. I would not recommend him to anyone.
We had such high hopes and put so much trust in him, but he has let us down over and over.
