1: contractor stated he would remove a sample of the existing shingle on the additon to MATCH it with the house. (house and addition prior to work had SAME shingles on both)
-contractor did NOT match shingles as he stated he was going to do.
-ridgevent on house does NOT match with the rest of the shingles on the house.
-shingles used on addition, do NOT match existing house. contractor has negatively affected the value of my home.
2 contract states: "remove ridgevent, shingles, plywood, and all insulation top to bottom"
contractor only shingled half of the bumpout in front and did not remove/reshingle the bumpout in the back at all.
-contractor left approx two squares of the existing shingles and plywood on addition where it meets the house. contractor then layered new shingles on the old layer that was supposed to be removed. contractor did not line up last two squares of shingles on addition properly. blue install line on shingles is showing in some areas
approximate cost to fix issues 1 and 2 is 4900.00
-estimate enclosed showing 4500. roofing contractor then noticed the approx. 2 squares of shingles contractor fontaine left on house and shingled over. approx cost to repair that mistake is 400
3: I had an oral agreement prior to the start of work to install a bathroom fan that would include a heat lamp.
-light installed did NOT have heat lamp.
    -approx. cost of light/fan installed - 65.92
-approx. cost of light/fan with heat that was orally agreed too - 303.95
-difference owed to me - 238.03
    4: Solar Fan - written into the contract was a Remington Solar powered Fan 25watt- 2200 sq.ft. - 1420cfm.
-installed without our knowledge or permission was - Air Vent Inc. NPSP8WW Roof Mounted Solar Powered Attic Fan 10 Watt - 1200sq.ft. - 800 Cfm.
    -contract cost for solar fan/install - 775.00
-approx cost for fan written into contract - 398.00
-approx cost for fan installed without my permission or knowledge - 129.00
    -difference of 269.00
    5: Leaf Relief Gutter Covers
-written into the contract was an agreement to clean/adjust/ and recap gutters with approx. 175' of Leaf Relief Gutter Covers. Also written into the contract was the work of connecting the two small gutter on the addition, (side that meets the house), to the main gutters.
    - this work has NOT been completed
-approx cost of 175 Leaf Relief Gutter Covers for me is 868.23; NOT including installation
-some of the original gutter covers have been removed by the contractor, only to be filling up with debris now.
    6: Mushroom Vents on addition:
-written into the contract was for the installation of (4) Mushroom Vents
-Only (2) mushroom vents where actually installed.
-approx cost I overpaid and NOT refunded is $50
7: Installation used in the addition
-written into the contract was for the use of r-38 insulation
-actuall insulation used in the addition was r-22
-approx cost I overpaid and NOT refunded is $100
Contractor has NOT responded to certified letter that was received on May 12th.
Contractor left job unfinished; and mislead us in other areas.
Approx cost to fix the mistakes caused by the contractor is 7131.26.
