Jim is hands-down the plumber in the Hampton Roads area. He came out to our residence on short notice and efficiently resolved our issue - he is a true professional, and I can’t recommend him enough.

Waste of time, and over charges with out fixing your problem. We had a grinder problem. Jim came out after spending $895 for the bucket to be pumped out and paying him $750. He could not tell us what the issue was, came back the second day and wanted to put a new system in. Said it would take 8 weeks and cost $17,000. We had to pay him $450 for that day. He is yet to call us back a week later. We called another company that came out and fixed the issue in 30 minutes and cost us $525. Please don't waste your time calling this man. He is a fraud and only wants your money.

Jim is extremely unprofessional and does not allow questions to gain understanding. He quickly becomes frustrated if you do not understand his poor communication skills and will become aggressive, abrasive, and flat out disrespectful. He continues to talk over you. He made my wife cry and then called me bad mouthing her. He also made us wait for weeks on end to receive an appointment after we nonstop had to continue to follow up with him for an update. The day before he was scheduled to come the quote jumped up $500-$700 and explained with nothing but frustration towards us for asking for an explanation. I have never been so disrespected or mistreated like this by any other professional I have ever dealt with before. He literally has no customer service skills or a desire to help his customers understand what they don’t. Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable really.

I would recommend Jim Bertolino for anybody's plumbing needs. He is a licensed master plumber not a handyman like me. Jim keeps me from making DIY mistakes when it comes to plumbing. Jim is always pleasant, a person who is truly the salt of the earth, who considers my plumbing issues as a top priority for him. For Jim the job is not done until the customer is satisfied with the desired result.

We had a clogged washer machine drain. Jim and his crew were the best! He showed up, he went over the details of what he was charging and got right to work. He educated me as to the specifics and potential issues with the way the house was built, but also included a solution to the issue for future issues. He was more than happy to draw diagrams and really cared about me saving money on doing it myself. His expertise and guidance can not be undertaken, this man know his stuff, and will be the only plumber I call for now in. Thanks Jim!

During our initial phone call on July 3rd, Jim was very interested in our plumbing situation, asking questions to make sure he knew exactly what the problem was. He came to our house at 7:30 am on July 5th and worked until our leak was discovered, repaired and the area was cleaned up. He and his helper were amazing. We will use him again when plumbing needs arise and I will recommend him to everyone I know who has a plumbing issue. It’s nice to find someone who is honest, and truly desires to fix the problem, not just put a bandaid on the situation. We were so lucky to stumble upon his number.
He was actually the only plumber who personally called me back!

Drain cleaning, and leaking toilet repair. He is courteous, professional, and knows his business. We recommend him highly!
