This contractor approached an 88 year old man living alone in North Missouri near the Iowa line. That man was living alone and his wife is in a nursing home. That man and his wife are having a hard time paying their bills. This contractor went to his home and talked him into allowing him to paint his shed for $300.
I have problems with this action. I do not consider any contractor honest that would approach an 88 year old and take his money. That man was my father and I found out about this after the fact. I do not know what this contractor was doing in North Missouri. We have people up here that know how to paint. I believe the contractor was looking for easy prey. Another 90 year old living alone was approached and ask if he needed painting done.
We do not need people calling themselves contractors roaming north Missouri. we have had problems in the past that "painted" with watered down paint and it did not last long. This contractor commented after the work was completed that "this work would not last forever you understand it was maintenance work". Why was that comment needed concerning a legitimate paint job?

If I could leave a 0 star I would. He took advantage of me, I’m a senior citizen and paid him good money to paint for me. 3 weeks after he collected his money the paint started peeling up. He has not made it right and it’s been almost 2 years. I highly recommend you do not use this fly by night contractor.
