  DO NOT HIRE!!! He has no clue what he is doing and will rip you off. Read the reviews. He has a pattern. He never pulled a permit for my job. Tried building a very unsafe structure the first day, called him out on it and then he put up another structure that was incomplete and unsafe on the second day. Then disappeared for a month and a half. I told him I wanted to part ways and wanted some money back because I paid for half the project up front. He said I owed him another $1200. He claimed he was on the jobsite for 5 to 6 days when he was only here for 2 days. I had to take down the unsafe structure myself so it would not fall down on top of us. Complete and total dishonesty. Unfortunate that he has harmed so many of the public.

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR JACE HITCHINS!
  Jace started out being good to work with at first.
  The more time that went on it was clear that he did not know a lot more than the basics which was ok, but to get a permit etc took a long time. As the project continued, Jace was working with a steel manufacturing company as my project was not just wood. Jace got in multiple "he said she said" type arguments with the other contractor and made it very awkward and hostile. Jace also became very difficult to reach or get the project to move forward. As pricing came back, Jace did not communicate well on the fact that his price was not inclusive of the steel portion even though he was the one who found the steel guy. In the end the project cost more than twice as much as anticipated through that. Jace then promised that he would do some woodwork accents on the front of my home due to the fact that the price came in so high. When the pergola was complete I made a final payment, before I fully looked at each section of his work which was very dumb of me.
  When I looked at his work, the last section he did was not at all the same craftsmanship as the rest of the project. He had different sized lumber that did not match the rest, was missing a couple small pieces, and was super crooked spacing. I asked Jace to come warranty that as well as to come do the front accents that he had promised and have now been getting the run around from him with a bunch of BS excuses for nearing 3 months. I have warned him that I would leave my review if he didn't come fix his work and now he just wont respond. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR JACE HITCHINS!

  This is just the start to a bad review. Asking for advice from the community, I've found several other individuals (Mr. Christensen) willing to stress their concern about the owner and the mis-representation to his clients. More details will follow shortly after these claims are filed in civil court and satisfied accordingly.

  Shortly put, my job was never completed. After discussing my issues with Mr Hutchings he left my home with a very aggravated attitude and wouldn’t even talk to me or my wife.

  This gentleman has no business doing the work he does. I hope you don’t fall into the legal mess we have.
