If you are considering JL Roofing and Siding I would be extremely cautious and go elsewhere. I often don't write negative reviews but feel compelled to warn potential customers of this organization and their lack of integrity. This past January I signed a contract for my roof and gutters to be replaced, (approximately $18k). At the time of contract signing I indicated that I needed detail pictures and measurements of the gutters to submit to insurance. For months I chased down the JL rep, Joe King, for pictures. Although the JL representative was pleasant and I liked him, I couldn't get him to follow through on providing the information I needed. He either was completely unorganized, overworked, or just didn’t care. Typically, roofing and siding companies would be your advocate with the insurance companies, and work with you to file the insurance claim, NOT JL Roofing and Siding. I got absolutely NO support what so ever. After numerous calls, text messages, and emails over 3-4 months, I finally received 6 pictures via text messages, followed by a revised statement of work increasing the price. Naturally upset at a price increase and smaller gutters than what was in the signed contract, I followed up with the JL rep, Joe King. He confirmed the “pricing shouldn’t have changed, it was a bundled price, let me pull your file” and come back to you. Well, he came back to me alright, with even a larger price increase that was in the agreed upon contract, (23% higher than the contract price). At this point, 4 months later, it became obvious to me JL Roofing and Siding wasn’t going to honor their commitment for the gutters. My situation was referred to the owner, Cambrie Morgan, for resolution but I haven’t heard from the company. With that said, I’m not optimistic I will hear from them.
