If I could give zero stars I would. Stay away from this guy. He built my custom home on Maui and refuses to come back to warranty the house after finishing only a few months ago. The wood flooring is buckling, pool coping was left unfinished, driveway was not built correctly, he has left building permits open, the list goes on and on. He has no pride in his work and most importantly does not stand behind his work. The way he handles problems is to ignore them, just looks the other way and hopes they will go away on their own instead of dealing with them like any responsible contractor that cares about their reputation. My best advice is to check his references!

Jocques and his crew put the finishing touches on my home in August, 2015. When I began my building project, I was looking for a contractor who would work with me as a team member. Jocques and Jessica, his partner offered this. The build had its difficult times, as all do. But throughout, there was always an opportunity for discussion and amendment of the project, if necessary. Some changes needed to be made, not due to Jocques' planning. He offered ideas and support for what needed to be done. His vision helped make my home what it has become--something very lovely.
Building on Maui can be difficult. Patience is necessary. Resources are sometimes limited. Jocques and Jessica brought me and my home through all of this and I am extremely happy with the result. If there ever is a problem with warranty issues, he literally is here within hours to address is.

Jocques built our home in Lahaina and we're beyond thrilled with the results. He has addressed our every need and has been very responsive. Throughout the project he went to bat for us to get the best numbers with subcontractors and held them accountable for their work. Maui has very few options for subs and that can be challenging, but Jocques was with us every step of the way. We don't live on Maui full time and building a home while you're off-island can be very stressful. He sent us pictures and videos on a daily basis, and he provided us with a great project schedule so we could arrange our visits at the most useful times. He was great about working with our budget and making sure we knew the cost every upgrade we made. He has been there for every warranty need we had - usually within hours. In summary, we've been blessed to work with Jocques and have someone in our corner throughout the whole experience. I wholeheartedly recommend him and JBR!
