  0 stars is too many for joe. Never showed up until past 3pm. Stole my 8k. He never finished the job. Its been 5 months. He is a theif, no one should ever hire this clown. Always has an excuse on why he wasnt there until he stopped answering all together. I have a half done job and the half thats done is cracked, looks ugly, and is plainly done horrible.

  3-story Brick Front Wall Replacement

  We hired Joe West Concrete to do a massive masonry job on our 3 story rowhome in Philadelphia. The job required that our original two layers of brick be torn down and rebuilt as a new cinderblock inside wall, and a new brick external brick wall, with new limestone headers and sills around our windows. As with any project, delays are (and should always be) expected: you have issues with the weather, scheduling commitments, issues getting inspectors to come out on time, etc. No construction project ever goes without any hiccups. Our project, unfortunately, did not escape such delays. The project did take longer to complete from start to finish, with completely unseen delays that threw the schedule into chaos at times. However, despite all this, and our frustration at times, Joe West Concrete was always professional, they were willing to work with us as the customer, and in the end, the job performed was beautiful. We never had any issue with the quality of the workers they used, all their workers were respectful and wanted to see that the project was finished and finished well. We were thankful that Joe West Concrete took our project because most companies are tied up with larger commercial projects, we thought our job would never get done. We get neighbors walking past our house knocking on our door, stopping us in front of our house commenting on how nice our new front wall looks. As our star rating indicates, the job overall was an "excellent" job, with bumps throughout the process but with respect, honesty, and integry throughout.

  The job was started in October. These guys don't show up until well after noon. The owner, Joe West, always has an excuse, from a relative being sick to his vehicle being broken down, to traffic. Are you kidding me? It's the same excuses, Over and over and over! He is very expensive and wants his money up front-all of it. We have been nickled and dimed to death. My basement laundry area is ruined. It is full of paint and dirt from these guys. They power washed my back deck(didn't do the railing) then painted over the dirt and tape on the wrought iron railing, which they had put there! I wound NEVER recommend this guy! He is nice enough, but extremely unprofessional.
