Excellent, start to finish.
Prior to contacting roofers, I visited with IRC Building Division officials to get pointers,
learn how the process works, and what info their records might have on my house.
Both John and Son, before all else, spent an hour at my house educating me, gave
me pros and cons about what I thought I wanted (which they could do and had
much experience doing since 1985), and how spending more might not mean greater
reliability or better protection over an admittedly longer lifespan. Their price for both
shingle and metal 4000sf were toward the low end of competitive, which was good,
although I was not interested in going with the lowest bidder; I wanted the best
quality, performance, and value for the money, however much it might be. They gave
me a date two months out, March 27, 2023, which I accepted as approximate; they
did in fact start on March 27th, completed the job that week, with the County's final
inspection and sign-off April 4, 2023. Their crew was organized and cooperative,
cleaned up every day, all this going on at exactly the same time, start to finish, as the
house was being re-piped.
I could not have asked for better.
