    We hired this company for a kitchen remodel in 2022-23 on the advice of Stella Kitchens. What a mistake. The owner, John, is a horrible communicator and only gave us a verbal estimate. The project came in way over budget, took over 8 months even though they had full access to an empty house, and never even was completed. Project updates were infrequent and incomplete. Their workmanship was sloppy, trim installed in the same vicinity does not match, and large gaps were left between wood pieces. Also, they did not respect our home furnishings, which were left outside over the winter when they moved them from the inside to do the work. The billing was vague with no accounting for specific materials or parts of the project completed. They broke a water pipe and called our plumber to complete an emergency repair, then they would not pay the bill. When we gave them a punch list of items remaining to be completed, they did not respond or complete the items.

    Lunetta building and remodeling really do excellent work, but are usually juggling more than one job, so if you're in a hurry - find a contractor that will dedicate 100% of their efforts in completing the job. Plus, their "finish" work was not acceptable, we brought in a real finish guy to complete the project.

    I am completely, thoroughly and absolutely satisfied with Lunetta Construction's work.

    The job was demolition of an old summer camp then the construction of a new home. All aspects of the work were excellent. We have been using the home for the past three years and have no regrets about hiring John. There have been no significant issues with the construction. We have had a few irritants -- normal with a project as large as the house -- which John quickly remedied. In addition to the soundness of his construction, he has an excellent eye for detail.

    I cannot recommend him strongly enough; in fact, I have recommended him to neighbors, including a cousin. If I were to build in eastern Mass, I would have him do the work.
