John Pino, Electrician’s email response to his customer.
My job worked the day I completed it. I have treated you well. My conscience is clear. Don’t call again.
Sent from my iPhone
I beg to differ with John Pino’s response to my reminder. I’ve waited many months for John to come by to fix the problem with the lack of “juice” in the plugs in two rooms of our 2023 rehab. Each time he said he’d be over to check it out, which never happened. John did a lot of work for this project, but had to return several times to fix shortfalls in his work.
Mr. Pino’s first sentence is inaccurate—only the office plugs worked, not the bedroom.
Mr. Pino’s second sentence is a bit overblown—he gave me attitude each time I had to call him back to the site. Though he can be affable at times, he can also turn his mood on a dime.
Mr. Pino’s third sentence is very self-serving. I fail to see how his conscience could be clear while knowing full well that the job performance is left wanting. Merely installing outlets that don’t work is hardly acceptable.
Mr. Pino’s final sentence is particularly annoying. I want him to fix his mistakes, after which I will not call him and will not recommend him to others.
I gave him a chance to rectify this problem and take this “review” step only in response to his refusal and failure to rectify the problems. Over the course of his involvement in our project his hourly rate doubled in less than a year. He has a very high estimation of his abilities, which is not exhibited in his final results. It will cost me many more dollars to fix his shoddy work.
