I would recomend him, he did a bathroom remodel. I had no problems with him and everything was done on time and budget. He did a good job, it was what I expected.

By J E.November 18, 2020Deck cover, he also, did not put an Eve board on topper because he ordered tin too short!!$10,000
NO NO DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We had him build a cover over half of our deck and had water pouring off the sides like a waterfall...his solution correct was to have a gutter company come and put gutters ON THE SIDES!!! RAW WOOD SHOWING, WATER POURING UNDER EVES BEHIND GUTTERING AND METAL TRIM COVERING EVE BOARDS! We turned John Rieter in to Cherokee Village building inspector, they do nothing either! Everyone needs to turn complaints in to the city....need 3 to have this person barred from doing buisness in our town and ripping off our residents!!! John Rieter is a con. He does not stay on the job to make sure work is done properly and has inexperienced workers who DONOT know what they are doing. I have turned in my complaint to city and that made 2, need one more to complain so he is taken out of buisness. John Rieter took us for $10,000 and now we have to pay more to have it fixed properly by someone else. JOHN RIETER WILL REIMBURSE US!!!!!

By Mike R.July 27, 2020Install metal roof$7,885
John Reiter (Get Er Done & Gone) installed a metal roof on my house. During the process they created a water leak around the stove pipe for my wood stove. He made a couple attempts to fix it using roofing cement and then apparently gave up. He quit answering or returning my phone calls. In addition, the metal is mutilated in a few places. You're better off looking for another contractor.

I was very optimistic on hiring a contractor, because I never had before.... He was very tentative in looking at my project, taking notes and being very informative. He stuck to the contract we agreed on and did not disappoint!! Everything was on schedule and looked great! It was exactly what I wanted....he listened!!! He completed a 16x32 add on to my home that consisted of a new master bedroom, master bath and laundry room....and huge walk in closet. He also extended my living room wall out 7x22 and put a new metal roof on as well! I'm VERY PLEASED and would highly recommend him to anyone and will use him for future projects as they arise!!!

By Steve O.June 27, 2017bedroom/bath addition
This contractor was the worst. We hired him to build an addition to our home which has proven over time to so poorly built that we were forced to pay others to finish he job. He charged us $75000.00 and left walls open and uncovered, the roof leaks, electrical boxes covered over, stains on bathroom tiles, ceiling fan installation left with wiring hanging down (unusable) quality of paint was terrible. The stairs are not standard and are a tripping hazard. I would not recommend this builder to anyone.

By Paula Y.June 21, 2017Metal Roof$4,000
We had a great experience with this contractor. He installed a metal roof on our cabin in Hardy, Arkansas. Some of the neighbors were pleased with his work & they are hiring him to put metal roofs on their property. He was on schedule. John did a fantastic job on our roof. It was done professionally & the site was cleaned up. We would highly recommend his services.

By ByersFebruary 14, 2017Bathroom remodel, wall partition, ceiling drywalled in basement living rm$35,00041 days
Took longer than he said. Work done was mediocre. I accepted his bid of $25,400 to do some remodeling and when all was done he charged us $35,000. To be fair he ran into a problem with our septic tank and had to have b&b plumbing dig up our yard and replace some pipes. But they only charged $2600 to do that and then he turned around and charged us $8460 for having to call them out to do that. Only other upcharge was for some insulation and duct work they did. $800. So what should have cost us $29000 he rounded up to $35000. Would not hire again.

By Dara S.August 15, 2016Bathroom Remodel
The absolute worst ever. My 84-year-old mother was taken advantage of by him. He remodeled a bathroom and it looked so bad, the workmanship was so terrible my nephew has been making trying to improve it. They also connected the hot/cold backward, and you need 10 minutes to get the faucet to turn off. Charged $3800. for the absolute worst workmanship I have ever witnessed. There's no possible way he has experience in carpentry.

By Doc R.December 7, 2015Build A 384 Square Foot Cabin$11,520178 daysDo NOT Use This Contractor!Read more
My experience with John Reiter, DBA Get R Done And Gone, was nothing short of horrific. Having contracted him to build a simple 16x24 foot, 384 square foot cabin, this build took him 6 months to complete and was only for him to complete the build with "stubbed in" electrical and plumbing. During the entire build, he was not on the build site and contracted sub contractors who had no idea what they were doing and their only agenda was to get paid by the builder before he returned from vacation. Having entered into my contract with this builder, he was advised that I was homeless and living in a tent on the property and that his timely completion of the project was of the up most importance. At contract he said the build was simple enough that he would have the project complete in less then 30 days. This of course did not happen and when complete, his work quality was terrible. He had nothing but excuses as to why the build was not on track time wise and continually shifted blame to me, the home owner. His attention to detail was not even close to that of a concerned builder interested in maintaining a good reputation. At completion of the build, he contracted with me to "make things right" with me only to completely disregard his written agreement and disappear from site. I attempted to contact him several times only to have him ignore my pleas to close up the sofits and insulate the structure as he agreed he would before the weather became unbearably cold. He basically left me stranded in the cold with no means to warm the hollow open structure. I am a disabled veteran on a very limited budget as he was well aware of from the start of this project and he simply did not care. I would not recommend this service and would warn anyone that deals with him to beware and never ever take him at his word or handshake agreement. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING WITH THIS BUILDER! As for me, I now must take legal measures against him in order to correct my situation and will spread the message throughout every avenue within the veteran community NOT to do business with him

He charged half up front for the new roof and took 3 months to show up to actually put it on, despite telling me frequently the he would be there “next Wednesay!” He rarely answered his phone or returned a phone call. His worker came out and put felt on some of the roof, but it mostly fell off after a month and just made a mess. They never communicated when they would come, so of course it was a surprise when they showed up at 7 am on a random Friday. Even though it was probably the worst weekend they could have showed up, I was afraid that if I didn’t let them stay that they would never come back! The seal leaked around a vent pipe in the roof and they just slapped a bunch of sealant on it, instead of getting a new boot that actually fit. It looks awful and is destined to fail at some point. They also threw their trash in my personal cans - I had to dig it all out and throw it in his trailer. I’m still picking up roofing screws and the plastic disks and cords that they dropped everywhere around my yard. It’s real fun when you step on one! Hire anyone else. This guy is awful.
