Kipfer Construction was hired to repair the walls of a large, hobby greenhouse: the job included replacing the greenhouse glass with windows, and re-building the East wall. Having been hired in November, 2021, he waited until late January, 2022 to remove the existing wall. His two employees were working in very cold weather, it took them 3 days to dig 10 holes for the posts because the ground was frozen. They took multiple (and necessary) breaks in their cars to warm up. Kipfer had the wall removed before the new material was even ordered -- the greenhouse remained open to the weather for 4 months, which left the adjacent building exposed to wind and weather. I asked them to expand the job, replacing the damaged siding of the adjacent building. Once the siding was removed, the crew must have seen that the wood support beams were rotten, about to fall apart. Many of the 2 x4 supports were dark brown, wet -- crumbling. His crew never told me, they just covered it up with the new siding. Recently, because of frozen and broken pipes, a different contractor found that the new siding was covering up rotten beams, that the wall might have collapsed. Perhaps Kipfer Construction is fine with new construction, but he seldom checked this job, which involved working with an older building with nothing square. Now, finding that his crew covered up the rotting beams led me to write this review.
