My grandmother hired Jonathan Gyger and Dennis Wishard to install a walk in tub in September 2021. Dennis was given A check for $2500. The tub was supposed to be ordered and installed by the two of them. They waited weeks and finally we contacted them to find out what the holdup was. We were told there was a problem with the supply chain and they were waiting for the tub to be built. We waited and waited and waited. By December we tried to contact Dennis and could not locate him or Jonathan. February 2022 we found out Dennis had been in jail for 90 days. He said that Jonathan ordered the tub and while he was in jail attempted to contact my grandmother to give her money back since he couldn’t do the job by himself. Jonathan backed up that story. My grandmother still wanted the tub installed and they said they could do the job. near Mother’s Day May 2022, Jonathan said the tub was ordered and would be at his shop in two weeks and they could begin the work. We then could not reach either Jonathan or Dennis. They are blaming each other. Dennis cashed the check but no one knows where the money is. Jonathan told us that he lied for Dennis because Dennis obviously didn’t have the money and the tub had not been ordered. Dennis said that Jonathan had the money after he cashed the check so that he could get the tub. We are looking into having both of them prosecuted for elder abuse, defrauding the elderly. My grandmother is in her 90s, she does not have $2500 to just give to someone for nothing. When we informed Jonathan of what was going to happen he had the nerve to say that we were slandering him. We have text messages from him stating that he lied about the whole job for Dennis. He said he was an honest businessman. How can you lie about something like that and then call yourself an honest businessman?
