Frederick Jones
Mr Jones has stepped away from Thumb Tack where he was originally contracted from. He has since started his own business and we had a work order to replace “J” channel after a roof install. Mr Jones deviated from the work order and because he was so fixated on the gutters being too long (which had nothing to do with the job) he decided to cut my siding and slide a piece of metal behind end of gutter and frame over gutter end with the “J” channel. Beyond the look of it and the fact that he cut my siding and replaced with a metal piece, he did not even cut the metal piece correctly and left a 2 x 2x 2 deep hole in side of house behind gutter. When asked to correct the issue on the very basic of replacing a proper sized piece of metal he stated he couldn’t because of the gutter. He was rude and loud with me in trying to resolve issue. I told him that if he couldn’t make it right that I would pay for materials l, but would he return labor costs. No.
According to contract I had 7 days to make payment, but he wanted payment through Zelle at the completion of job. Make sure to pay with a credit card for your protection in dispute.
Since finding out he runs his business from his home it is very likely he is not bonded or insured.
I am currently filing in court.
