Jordan may be the most competent contractor in the area. I wouldn't know. I requested an estimate for installation two egress windows. Got their quote, agreed to it, and got the project scheduled. Then the stuff hit the fan. You see, when I'm inviting a contractor into my home to alter any part of my residence, I ask a few questions. If you really want these guys to do a job for you, don't ask too many questions. They not receptive to questions, like whether their dig might affect the root system of a tree in our front yard, or if they scope to find water and other underground lines before they start, or whether or not they have the necessary licensing and insurance, or if their concrete cutter makes sure to put up a barrier to keep concrete dust from inside the house. And a couple other things I didn't get a clear answer to. If you are going to email them any questions, make sure they're short and sweet. Eight or ten words might be the limit. The fellow who apparently does all the quotes accused me of sending him four page emails (the longest might have been the better part of a page). So my conclusion? This guy really doesn't like questions or emails longer than, say, a half a page. And he doesn't have to honor his quote for a job, even when an agreed upon start date is set. He states he's in a position now where he can choose who he works for. My conclusion: The estimate may look great, on paper, but just don't bug the Jordan people with too many questions. To repeat, and to be fair, I couldn't comment on their ability to do what they say they can do. I never got the chance to see their work, and, most likely, never will. Thus, they get two stars from me. "Poor" from me is generous, but it about covers my experience with Jordan Construction.
