Complete and utter disaster. Was begged for more money after shelling out $500 for supplies to have my porch redone. As soon as he had the money, he never once answered any phone calls and ran off with my money. Complete scam artist. Notice the good reviews on here are not by specifically named people, because he is making fake reviews for himself to overshadow his illegal activities. It is really sad that he continues to scan people out of their money. I was sick for months giving that scam artist my money. And now my porch is still in pieces as he left it completely ripped apart. Disgusting man and horrible company.

Absolute disgrace.
Completed only 1/2 the work we agreed on and it was all done terribly.
I was told my cabin rehab would take only a few weeks. After 4 months, Ashton would always have a new excuse as to why he never showed up that day or the days before.
I was left to redo all of his work after paying full price.
To make matters worse, this “ legitimate contractor” left me paying for 3 brand new windows after he measured incorrectly TWICE!
The local inspector told me if I hadn’t fired him and completed the job on my own, he would’ve failed the inspection just for having him onsite.

This was a very expensive nightmare. June 2018 - September 2018. It was like watching a horror movie. Sometimes they came and sometimes they didn't. Ashton always had an excuse for the poor workmanship. Kept blaming his employees. Never completely finished. Stopped answering phone calls. Kept begging to get paid. A lot of sad stories. Received calls from sub contractors that he didn't pay. Left me with a lot of unfinished crappy work. Never again. Run, run , run. Good luck finding him. He knows when to be ghost. He is definitely not a roofer. $14,000. New roof and porch.

Collected 2/3rds of contract and abandoned job. Failed to respond after numerous attempts and when did Rooney made promises to complete job. Received phone call on 10/30 from ovof his employees stating that Ashton Joseph was in rehab and he had my keys for pickup am entering litigation to try and collect some funds back from credit card company.

Run. RED RED RED FLAG. Complete and utter failure.
Missed urgent time sensitive appointment.
No response afterwards. No show, no call, no text, no email, no class.
Unprofessional.
Promises never kept.
DO NOT TRUST THIS BUILDER.

Cons
a) Did not deliver what he described in his sales pitch. Cabinets were not prepped / painted as stated. IMO they should have been resanded/repainted instead of patched.
b) Arrived late on job site (10am or later) and took long lunches i believe for reason #3 to get supplies
c) Came to jobsite unprepared - no ladder / spackle for a day that included painting a ceiling is an example. Cleanup was hit or miss - somedays it was done other days not (Paint left out over night on counter / sawdust all over countertops are some examples).
d) Grout is not sealed and uneven - will need seal grout myself and fix ceiling where it was patched with semi gloss paint(used for trim) and not the ceiling paint. Looks terrible.

Pros
He did "fix" everthing and was a nice guy but the tardiness and the work that had to be "redone" during the process was just frustrating. I suggest INSPECT everything.

The contractor listened carefully and deployed the correct level of expertise & diligence to complete the job to my satisfaction. I look forward to hiring him again, with the hope that my satisfaction level to be even higher on the next job!

Joseph Building and Remodeling was the contractor we've been looking for. Ashton and his team were not only very reasonable , but they professional, and prompt. They arrived every day of the project on time and did great work while they were there. In fact, they finished a full two days earlier than estimates (how often does a remodel contractor finish early?). My family and I were so happy with the work they did, we are going to use them on our next home project (a full master extension with bathroom). Can't say enough good things about this company, and would recommend them to anyone in need of an honest, professional, and reasonable contractor. A++

Good company with great personable employees and great response time. They are professional, proficient, knowledgable and on top of their game. I must say that they supersede the remark “the best bang for your buck” when it comes to home repair work. They have completed a few different project for us and we are very pleased with work and prices. Would recommend to anyone in need of home repairs.

Mr. Joseph remodeled my kitchen and bathroom. He was very detailed and articulate with the work he completed. He was great to work with and brought a lot of great ideas in helping choose my final plans. I'm very happy I found him and plan on using him in the very near future.
