Purchased 300k plus home in August 2020. House is poorly constructed for the money. Carpet is cheap of cheapest and sheet rock work was poorly done. They have been good at responding when called for other small things. Would not recommend.

This experience has been horrible. Something that is supposed to be the most exciting part of your life isn’t. The superintendent promised to do the finished work upon closing and they are still not done. I move in 7/2. Part of flooring is missing, uneven walls, door nails not in, and leaks in the shower. Oh and my favorite no hot water in the master.
The warranty manager is beyond rude and refuses to pick up my call or call me back. I understand standing up for the employees but when you treat the customer like crap when all they want is a complete house.
My house is still not complete. I have asked where to make a review multiple times and she has refused to answer. They deserve 0 stars for how they are treating my family and how much they don’t care. -

Bought home in Dec. 2018. Anything and everything is wrong. Walls are uneven, flooring is cracked or peeling. Carpet is bottom of the barrel crap. Water sprinkler system is crap. We paid way to much to have to fix all this. Things you don’t catch through a walk through. First time home buyer and I’m so mad. DON’T EVER PURCHASE A HOME FROM THIS BUILDING COMPANY. We are trying to sell ASAP..

If you haven't yet, DO NOT BUY! I have had issues since move-in day! Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, busted drainage pipe outside and poor developmental grading causing severe rain water drainage issues! Although the grading/drainage issue is noted as an item to survive closing, the warranty manager says it's now my issue as the homeowner. I wish I could post pictures on this site. I want to show everyone reading this what a newly purchased $350k home looks like with 2+ inches of slimy, green water from the front to the rear of it.

Worst sheet work I have ever seen in my life. We have only lived in this house about two months and my gosh at all the imperfections that we are seeing everyday. Not really sure we even got the 25 pallets of sod we were supposed to get either. Maybe someone else needed it worse than we did. Pretty pathetic to pay the kind of money we paid and didn’t get quality work.?

This builder does shoddy work. They have a nice floor plan, but their overall end result is mediocre. We found so many things wrong with our house that was completed in 2017, but because we didnt catch during the walk through, they are off the hook. They turned me off from ever purchasing new construction again.

Good line of homes (plans). Would be great, except for quality control. Warranty call back, very slow response if any. This is probably the main issue. Difficult to deal with on warranty issues. Almost kicked the worker out of my house during a warranty repair. A+ BBB rating. That's laughable. Has a D- when I first complained in 2010. Had several other complaints and overnight went from D- to A+. Must have paid a bunch to get that! I inquired with BBB about how that happened. Of course, no reply..... Would not recommend. Pick a floor plan and have someone else build. By the way, I've found their plans in some of my books and online. They just modified them.

They did a great job on my home. However, its hard to get in contact with them if you have urgent questions.

JR Homes Review – Avoid at All Costs
If you’re considering buying a home from JR Homes, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Their new homes are absolute money pits, and their so-called “warranty” is practically useless. It’s filled with so many loopholes that they’ll find a way to deny just about any claim you make.
We had a hard time getting them to cover even the smallest issues, and trust me—there were plenty of them. Uneven sheetrock, no hot water, unpredictable shower temperatures, barely any water pressure, and crooked windows are just the tip of the iceberg. The number of issues we’ve encountered is too long to list, and every time we reach out, we’re met with excuses instead of solutions.
This company cuts corners at every turn, and once they have your money, they couldn’t care less about the quality of their homes or their customers. If you don’t want to sink thousands into repairs on a brand-new home, stay far away from JR Homes.
