    New Build
    $500,000

We signed an offer to purchase in March 2019 and was told that we would be on our home before Thanksgiving, needless to say we actually closed in mid January. Was promised the repairs but still after 3.5 years they have done very little and never follow up with anything. There is a common area and we have association dues to keep it up but the builder has not done anything to it. No mowing, no repairs to concrete - nothing! They don’t have anyone even billing for it until now. Don’t trust this builder! Don’t close until everything is perfect. There are things that will come up later for you to try and get fixed.

We purchased a new home from JR Homes in 2021. Ever since we moved in, there have been many issues and broken promises about the repairs that were needed to our home. Like the previous reviews, we were asked to sign a "to survive after closing" document that has yet to be fully executed. About four or five months after our move in, we noticed cracks in the ceiling. We informed their office manager and we were told to wait until the house settled because they were only going to come out one time for repairs. However, the holes in the ceiling kept getting bigger and more seemed to appear throughout the upstairs part of the house. This was disconcerting and we again contacted them, but they still didn't come to repair the holes. We did everything correct, but our issues were half-assed completed at best. When they finally did come out to do the repairs, the people they sent were not able to communicate with us (language barrier), nor did they try. They barely fixed the issues and when we pointed out that things were not completed, they indicated that it wasn't their job to do those particulars. When we contacted the office manager and their superintendent, they lied about everything. They never sent anyone to inspect the work that was done, nor did they come back to fix it. The same holes that they claim to have repaired was back in the same state of disrepair (if not worse) than it was to begin with less than two weeks later. They NEVER came back to fix them and they started "GHOSTING" us. Now they won't return emails or answer phone calls. Our house still has blue tape all over because no one fixed the issues when they were supposed to. When you walk in certain parts of the house it feels as if you're walking up and down a hill. The item that survived after closing still has not been repair even though the last email we received from the office manager said it would be repaired ASAP! I have continually emailed about the issues to no avail. This is quite concerning especially with the amount of money we paid for this house.

This is not our first time purchasing a home, but this is our first time dealing with JR Homes and having to deal with issues of this magnitude. This company should never be allowed to build homes if they aren't going fix the issues that arise in their craftsmanship.

In our opinion if you are looking for a builder, please skip on past JR Homes. They don't hold up their end of the agreement and once they get you to sign on the dotted line, they no longer care what state of repair the house is in. It could fall down on the ground and they wouldn't care. JR Homes customer service is nasty, unprofessional, and bad.

I recently bought a home with JR Homes. Prior to closing their were many delays, then all of a sudden there was a rush to move me in. Since moving in there have been numerous issues that the builder continues to fail to fix to include plumbing, grading, septic tank, and broken concrete foundation. Several walls were improperly dry walled. Light fixtures are not centered. Builder stated that many will be addressed at final walk through. This is not the typical practice. If I had not spent so much money in the house, I would sell. Due to Covid, I would loose money. I would not recommend this builder.
