I had my pool put in 2 yrs ago and was happy with the outcome. However I have tried all summer to get some answers from the office about why my pool bottom is now brown. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication ., I am not asking for a new pool, just someone with some knowledge to come out and advise me on what to do. MY pool looks like it is 15 yrs old. The chemistry is always good. I have a hard time reaching someone on the phone so i send emails every week. Once a guy came out and said he was there to look at 2 rust spots.. He had no idea that I wanted information on what is the issue with my pool. I have asked the office for the sub-contractor who did the finish but i am being ignored. It looks like after 2 yrs i need the pool to be re-finished. I will now have to hire another pool company with good work ethics and honesty to help me out. Very sad.

We contracted to build our pool with JT Custom Pools in November of 2021 with the upfront notice that the pool could not be started until April. As planned the crew showed up on April 11th to start construction and it was finished by June 11th. They did an excellent job and we are very happy with the finished product.

We hired JT Custom pools and the job is complete but we have had a terrible experience with them. They damaged our septic tank running their heavy equipment over it. Prior to construction the trees were trimmed and cut down to provide safe access to where the pool would be located. We have detailed emails and correspondence discussing this and they still damaged our septic. While, situations arise during any construction projects, it is their horrible customer that adds fuel to the fire. Initially, I posted a negative review and the owner called my house and wanted to remove (I didn't). He spoke to my wife and he promised to resolve the issue but he didn't. Afterwards, I have tried to contact him or the office but they do not pick the phone. They know my cell number and home number so they refuse to answer or respond to any of my calls. I have left many messages on occasions and they NEVER respond. It is hard to imagine spending 50K and being treated so callously. They will pick up the phone to get you to sign the contract but to fix issues they will not speak to you.

Like everyone else, it's the lack of communication. They got their money and they're done. Does not matter that we have a punch list that was given to them 4 months ago. Find a different pool company.

Like many other reviews mentioned, the communication with JT’s is certainly lacking. The owner, Jason fails to return your calls and the staff seems to lie through their teeth (even though I have what they said in writing). If you have stumbled upon JT’s as it is a cheaper option than other pool companies, please know that comes with a price tag and you will have a number of issues with them. Would not recommend. Pay the extra for the other guys.

My experience with JT's custom pools has always been great. Whether working on a project for me or any service issues that I have. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about a new pool or doing updates to an existing pool.

We spent time with JT designing our pool and lanai and he said he would have a proposal ready on the following Monday. Never got it. Call and emailed several times over the past few weeks and they don't even have the decency to return a call. Any company that treats perspective customers like this shouldn't be in business. I can't imagine what they are like if they got the job.

We used JT's Custom Pools to install our pool. This company does not follow up to resolve problems after the installation. They have terrible employee relations with their customers and I would highly recommend that if you are considering a pool installation, you stay far, far away from JT's Custom Pools. I only wish we had done so on our installation!

We signed a contract with JT in March 2022. The actual start of the project was June 29. Ever since then it seems like it has been a constant battle for them to get things done. First there was a concrete shortage, then a worker shortage, then an aluminum shortage. I think the delay on the pool deck and pavers were due to the subcontractor not having the workers. We also had the same issue with the sand and the mess as mentioned in a previous review. My husband had to clean up the lanai and get it so it wasn't as messy. They keep coming up with excuse after excuse as to why there are so many delays. The bottom line is that their "scheduler" lacks project management skills and is not on top of their projects. Then their subcontractor for the pool cage was very delayed, even before hurricane Ian. After Ian, their sub (Enhanced Aluminum) asked all of the pending projects for an extra $1000 so they could retain their workers. Not sure why that was passed onto us, seeing the contract was between JT and the subcontractor. But they basically had us between a rock and a hard place. We couldn't complete the pool without the cage, so we paid the extortion. Our only other choice was to find our own contract (which after Ian would be next to impossible and would probably be another six months and twice the cost.) We thought once we paid that, the pool cage would be complete, and the rest would finally get done. But it was another couple of weeks after paying to get the pool cage done. You would think the scheduler would have put us on the calendar for Pebble Tec and safety inspection as soon as the Cage was started, but again - due to their poor management skills, we had to wait. Now the pebble tec is done, and we are waiting for someone from JTs to come and connect the completely filled pool to the system and start it up with the right chemicals etc. Again, why wouldn't they schedule that work once the Pebble Tec people started their job?? As everyone else has said, the communication has been terrible. We have had to call multiple times on each stage to find out what is going on, and what should happen next. It feels like everything is a battle to get people out here and for them to schedule everything. If JT actually hired an experienced project manager, he would probably make a lot more money and things would run more smoothly. When they finally get here for each stage and are working, they are doing a good job and it looks nice, but 21 weeks (and counting) to complete a pool is insane. Honestly I wonder if all pool contractors are this slow and hard to communicate with?
