My experience with Junior Flooring was very disappointing. There were a lot of unmet expectations over a 2 week period. To preface I did stop by their showroom 2 times prior to making my purchase and all of the employees were very pleasant and nice to deal with when they were trying to make a sale.
Meydi was very quick to assure me with two purchases (LVT & Carpet) that the product would be delivered by a certain date and time. Once they had my money the story each time changed to “we never promised you it would be here on this date/time”. The level of communication was very disappointing. The fact that both purchases were predicated on a promise of delivery by a certain date seemed to escape Meydi the moment they had my money.
The worst was at the very end after waiting 2 weeks for carpet that they promised would be delivered 3 days after ordering it had finally arrived. 5 minutes before my installation Meydi tried to extort me for another $60 claiming her bid didn’t include tack strips to install the carpet. This is after she personally came to my house and saw that the room we were installing carpet in was new construction and had a bare subfloor. The owner “Junior” did the only good thing in my entire interaction with his company and agreed that it was Meydi’s mistake and not mine and I shouldn’t be asked to pay. This was after he overheard me discussing with Meydi how very disappointed and upset I was at the bait and switch tactics.
On top of all of this Meydi asked me an hour after the installers left my house to pay them the cash that was due. When I let her know the installers had left an hour ago without asking for payment she wanted me to drive to their location at 5:30PM on the Friday to pay the balance. The next day when I went to pay my remaining balance Meydi attempted to rationalize why this was their normal process. I told Meydi this made no sense at all as if it was had it really been Junior Flooring’s policy to have the installers collect the balance due they would: 1) have told me before the installation to give the payment to the installers, 2) have the installers ask for the payment, and 3) have a receipt ready showing paid in full. As Meydi and the installers did none of the above it was clearly just another instance where I was being lied to. Meydi proceeded to tell me “all of their customers” pay them cash without a receipt. I’m comparing my expectations for making a final payment to the myriad of other contractors I’ve worked with over the last 3 months in my addition and remodel. All of which I owed substantially more than the $320 balance due to Junior Flooring. Not one of which demanded I drive to their location the night their services were completed or pay them cash without a receipt.
I would absolutely not recommend you work with this outfit. While the owner did the right thing at the end by not allowing his employee to extort me for an additional $60 the overall experience was pretty horrible. I don’t understand how this company is still in business. I did attempt to discuss the overarching issue of promising things they couldn’t deliver but was met with “it’s not our fault” over and over at which point I left.

I highly recommend Junior Flooring Specialist . From the first step in trying to make a decision about my flooring needs they were extremely helpful and attentive to my flooring needs. Meydi provides extraordinary customer service and is very verse in all types of flooring rather that be vinyl , laminate, hardwood, or carpet. She is very knowledgeable in the technology of flooring and recommends the best product at the most reasonable price within your budget. She has an excellent eye for colors and trends. Junior is a professional flooring installer and when you see him work it shows. He is everything you want in a contractor. He is impeccable, efficient, detailed and the quality of the installation exceeded my expectation. He takes pride in his workmanship, work ethic, and operates with high integrity and a solid moral compass. His work crew prepped the work area with care and detail and were very through with their preparation. They were kind, considerate, and professional in all ways. Thank you Junior Flooring for making my home renovation a positive stress free experience. Sincerely, Charlene Paz

Yes, I would recommend Junior Flooring and Construction. At the store and my home, I found Meydi very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in selecting tile and paint (She has an eye for space, and we have a small space). Junior was accommodating and very professional offering his contractor expertise for the bathroom make over. The crew took pride in their workmanship and cleaned-up their work area every day before leaving. They were polite, friendly and would always check with me about details for the make-over. The bathroom make-over, turned out even better than I had imagined. We could not be more pleased... Thank you Junior! Helen
