  Build a car port

  These guys were spectacularly bad. Let's look at why.

  Initially, we called four times in order to get them to call us back to even talk about a quote for a carport. When they did eventually call back and then come up for an on site look they were really nice. The owner was pleasant and seemed like a good person to work with.

  Then it started. First, they missed the initial start date twice. When they did show up they worked awhile and then left, said they'd be back tomorrow, and it was the following week when they showed up. They left tools all over the yard.

  Then they finally came and finished the building (but not the concrete yet) and the work was.... not great. The panels between the front of the car port and the ceiling underneath don’t line up. Then it leaks water because they put screws in on an angle or some were so overtightened that it dimpled the metal.

  We asked that they hold off on pouring the concrete due to a family matter but when we called back they said it would get done before Thanksgiving. That holiday came and went with no word from them. Then they said stone would be delivered the next day for under the concrete. That never happened. We called and left messages in December to no avail.

  Then we started calling again in April after no one contacted us for the bulk of the winter with any information. It took two calls from my mom and three from me before they responded and then they were mad at US because I scolded them on the phone. The owner finally said he would come up to look at what needed to be done for the concrete. He blamed the lack of calls returned on an employee named Ryan.

  He showed up on a Sunday evening and checked everything out and said “I’ll call you this week with a date on when we will pour the concrete, but we won’t be able to pour for a week and a half to three weeks”. That was fine since it was just nice to know he would give us a date in the next week. One week passed. Then two. Then three. No call. So we started calling them. A lot.

  I called several times per week for six weeks. Still no return call. We haven’t heard anything back in months. I found a different phone number on their Facebook page than what was in Google but it still goes to the same answering machine message. I’m making sure to go to every online review place I can find so people know how terrible this crew is.

  Stay away from this Contractor

  JWL Contracting built a garage for us and the roof started leaking. We called and complained, they said they would send someone out to repair it and they never showed up. . Tried calling back and they are ignoring our calls. Stay away from this company they do not stand behind their work.
