  Peter M Strysick is a theif and very dishonest. He took all the money for the job, then never paid the sub contractors, showed up for work no earlier than noon-2pm (sometimes), never stopped texting his girlfriend while he was here and left no later than 3:30pm for whatever BS excuse. After a while he stopped showing up or answering phone calls and disappeared.

  POOR WORKMANSHIP -- ALSO NOW CHARGED WITH THEFT

  Awful workmanship. Way off schedule. Forget this company.
  The guy works from home. Nothing listed in the local area phone book --not for the business nor for the business owner. No name on work vehicle. Recently arrested and charged with theft by a contractor for allegedly taking the money up front (like always) but not returning to do the work. Had plenty of excuses though. This guy will look you in the eye and lie to.your face.

  THIEF AND SHADY FLY BY NIGHT

  Kaps siding and construction services XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXS. My experience several years ago now was almost exactly the same as the two other reviews. Windows not measured properly, not shimmed, not even caulked decently. Dry rot in old wood never replaced. Just cover it up with new siding. Nails fall out of rotted wood, so that looks like crap too. High priced substandard work performed by subcontractors, while pete strisick could be found every weekday in the tavern by 4:00pm. I RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY. HE JUST GOT ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH THEFT BY A CONTRACTOR, AND FROM WHAT WAS REPORTED IN THE NEWS THIS IS THE SAME OLD.CRAP THAT HE HAS BEEN DOING FROM HIS FIRST DAYS IN BUSINESS, EXCEPT THIS TIME HE GOT CAUGHT. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO HIRE A COMPETENT CONTRACTOR, NOT PETE STRYSICK.

  This contractor appeared to do the contracting, get the signiture and 60% down payment beforevstarting the work, and he himself was.never around. He hired other people do do the actual physical work while mr. Strysick went running around giving more and more estimates. I had to keep after mr. Strysick to get work completed, and the end result was.very sub par work, windows installed.improperly, one window.measured wrong and therefore does not fit properly, I had hard time.getting any answers from him, and later come.to find most of his.answers to be untrue. I had him patch a leakin my roof, he.only made the leak.much much worse. I was sitting at my table.when it started to leak in and soak my table and paneling. This was after mr. Strysick made his "repairs". While my.roof was.leaking I.called.him and explained his fix was.no.good. He told me that.hebcould not come over that day, whenbI asked why he told.me "because it's raining". I hired a licensed, well respescted local roofing company to fix what .pete strysick could not, and the.roofer that did.fix it told me that this flat rubber roof leak was made worse by pete strysick, owner of Kaps siding, because, among other things, he had used an adhesive that was not the proper adhesive for the job, and because of this I found one edge of the rubber was not fastened to.the roof at all, but was instead blowing in the wind and flopping around while peter strysick was telling me there was nothing he could do because it was raining. He asked if I have a bucket, when I said yes, he suggested I put the bucket under the leak to catch the water. I told him the leak was so bad I.would need more than one.bucket. He laughed and hung up on me. My sliding patio door is substandard quality and installed poorly. Peter Strysick screwed the outside breaker box back onto the house and came close to burning my then new to me house down, as a bare wire was touching metal, and It is only because the power and light company.was here at the time, and the power and light man told peter strysick that he was asking for trouble, and told everyone.to stay back and not touch anything until he (electric company) could disconnect the power, connect the wire properly and make sure it is safe and then restore power. Mr. Strysick just sort of laughed it off. Not at all responsibile contractor. Also I.had some dry rot in my eves and dormers and such, and he never replaced the dry rot wood. Instead he had his crew, and himself, just.cover it all up with my new siding. He pounded nails.into rotted wood, and nails don't hold in rotted wood.
  After the work was "finished" I had occasion to call him over for some adjustments and such, and he always was very whiney.and grumpy when if and when he would show up. He lived less than 2 miles.from, so it was not that hard to stop by. Before I had paid him any.money he would come over right away.if I.called, but once the subpar, substandard work was "done" and he.had been paid, he pretty much avoided me. So much for warrantee work. I ended up having to deal directly with the manufacturer rep for any warrantee service, because although I had it in writing about warrantee service and such, this contractor was not willing to stand behind the work, he was not willing to stand behind the materials he had sold me for this job, and he was unreliable. However peter strysick did make it to a tavern for happy hour without fail, and there were times I went to surprise him at his happy hour to try and get answers when he would not show up at my house nor return my phone calls. This guy is a liar, he does substandard work, does not always use the materials (doors, windows,etc) that are called for in the contract, and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. NOBODY. He is a.fly by night guy, and I.know several of his other former customers who have experienced similiar problems.

  Mr. Strysick did some work on my home and I found it to be substandard and high priced. His arrogance towards customers showed almost daily proved him to be very hard to work with. He has a hard time listening to and following the directions of the people who pay his way and also on my job tried to hide sub par work. Walls are not squared dry wall had cracks and screw pops 1 month after the work was done and it took him a month to repair the cracks and pops. The repairs look worse than the original cracks and I am so fed up with his attitude and poor workmanship that I will have a qualified drywaller finish the repairs.
  His quote was also half of what the final cost was and I did not change anything from our original discussion. He also tried to have some of the subcontractors change my mind on the room layout. They did not feel comfortable with this and shared this information with me.
