Gary Kaczmarek
Kazmar was referred to us by our architect when we started discussing an addition to our home. My wife met and spoke with Gary Kaczmarek from Kazmar and he gave us an estimate of approx. $75k in April. My wife continued to followup with him and Gary told us in May that our project would start by the 3rd week of July. In July, my wife attempted to reach Gary and he was unresponsive. I got involved in the 3rd week of July and he told me he didn't know he was doing our project?? I advised we were going forward and if he would have communicated with my wife and followed up this wouldn't have been an issue. He apologized and said give him 3 weeks or so to get a foundation company. Here we are almost 4 weeks later and he sends me a new estimate that is for the same work as the previous estimate but this one was $115k, $40k more than the original?? Then he tells me it would be another month or so to start because he has to get a foundation guy?? It is now likely that due to Kazmar our project will not be done this year as we were told and hoped for. Now we have to go find another contractor who at this late in the season won't be able to complete. Pathetic and very unprofessional, something you would expect from a Craigslist contractor not one referred to you. Do not do business with Kazmar, they will screw you.
