Dajuan Williams
I contracted Dajuan Williams to build my deck. Upon meeting Dajuan he represented to me that he had a team of people to work on my deck. He had one gentleman (Marcellus) working on the deck and himself, most of the time Dajuan was not present to oversee the project. I reported to Dajuan on numerous times the flaws in the workmanship that his worker was performing. The deck boards have huge gaps in them that are inconsistent in other areas. The board were cut uneven (noticeable), the white railings were cut short in several areas, the facia board on the exterior was not attached to the each other on the corner of the deck. There are exposed nails in the wood that could puncture my grandbabies feet while playing on the deck. The railing system and caps are detached and can easily be lifted off and/or blown away. Dajuan presented the work to me as completed and sent me an invoice for final payment. Once I arrived in town and inspected the work I notice all of the forementioned problem areas and questioned whether or not he had inspected the deck upon completion. Now he is not willing to address the remaining issues with the deck and keep showing him evidence of flawed work. He is not willing to honor his contractual agreement and demanding a final $500 payment which only supposed to be paid upon completion of the work (which has not been done). This is my wife's and I first major home project since putting our children through college and it has been a nightmare of an experience, which I shared with Dajuan. I want him to finish the repairs to my satisfaction and conclude this project. I would NOT recommend anyone to use this contractor he lacks the professionalism to address a customers concern; he represents as if he has a crew and he only has one employee. He has ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful experience for my wife and I.
