Please do your research before hiring this company! David Keever is only a "licensed carpenter," but led me to believe, and quoted me a price for a complete bathroom renovation (plumbing, electrical, etc.). I am still paying the price!
I suspected a leak within 9 months of job completion. Mr. Keever returned to examine the leak, yet said there wasn't one. I paid to have the ceiling repaired ( from below). Yet, 1 year later, water is leaking again....in the same exact spot. Mr. Keever came back again. He said THIS WAS A NEW LEAK, but he only guaranteed his work for 1 year. He resealed the shower seat, which HE stated wasn't sealed properly in the first place. ???? He performed the original work. He said that he was 100% positive that this is where the leak was coming from. 3.5 months later.....water is pouring out of my ceiling's recessed lights below.
I am sick to my stomach, as I paid Mr Keever over $18,000 for a bathroom remodel that he wasn't actually licensed to perform. He lied and misled me. He purchased subpar materials to make $. My shower continues to leak to this day. I have requested a couple quotes from contractors to help fix the problem and the only thing they can reassure me with is to rip the entire spa shower put and start over. More bad news: 2 out of 3 of the tiles used from floor to ceiling ( for my walk-in, wrap around spa shower) are NO LONGER AVAILABLE! I am sick about this! This man refuses to accept any responsibility or pay to fix his faulty work. I filed a claim with Erie Insurance, the company who he purchases limited liability insurance through, as a carpenter. They actually visited my home and agreed to pay me $7,200. This amount is all they will allow, because they won't pay for his poor workmanship. Erie Insurance will ONLY cover the damages caused from his poor workmanship. They won't cover finding the leak or fixing the leak. In the meantime, I've had 3 fully licensed general contractors quoting me $20,000+ to tear out and rebuild my bathroom.
