So disappointed!
I hired Ken Wilson to install a new asphalt driveway at my house. He came with his crew, despite my warnings of the cold and wet weather, at the end of April. Not only are the joints bad, but by June, my driveway was deteriorating and falling apart. It had clearly raveled from poor installation. When I contacted Ken Wilson about it, he came out and told me it was from my tires, which was absurd. When that excuse didn’t work for him, he then told me that he must have gotten bad material from the Asphalt Plant. I then contacted two asphalt experts, one from the plant that he got the material from, and one from another company. Both of the experts that came out to inspect my driveway said the same thing, that my driveway was falling apart due to poor installation. That the weather conditions were not right, that it was over raked, and that it was not compressed enough. The experts also contacted Ken Wilson and told him the same. When I asked Ken Wilson what he was planning to do to remedy the situation, he texted me a one word answer…”sealcoat.” I was appalled! Seal coating would certainly not remedy the poor installation of the asphalt or stop it from falling apart. It would just make it shiny. Not to mention that seal coating should never be done the first year of laying asphalt.
I would not recommend Ken Wilson Paving to anyone. Ken Wilson is very unprofessional and does not stand behind his own work.
