I built a new home over the winter of 2015-2016 and my general contractor recommended Kerrico Corporation for counter tops. When you call them do not be surprised when they ask you to visit them at their location. I thought it strange that I needed to drive 70 miles rather than having them bring samples to my home but it was for the best since their showroom has full sized displays complete with sinks, basins and other features that helped me choose the right designs and features for my kitchen and baths.
From the showroom visit, I was sent home with a large array of samples for color and pattern selection. I was even cautioned against a few of the patterns that, in their prior experience, had not performed as well as others. Again, this was a necessary step since the colors I thought I wanted to don't fare very well once I put them next to my backsplash material and appliances. I highly recommend anyone getting these counters to go through these additional steps. It will be well worth it in the long run.
Once my colors were selected Kerrico sent an experienced fabricator/installer to my home. Rather than just taking measurements, he actually made templates insure a perfect fit. One piece that was needed was a long and narrow cap to top off the short wall separating my kitchen from my open space living and dining areas. My contractors were to install a glass backsplash on the kitchen side and the Kerrico fabricator took the extra thickness of the glass tiles into account for fabrication of the cap. It's reassuring when a contractor understands the larger picture, not just his portion of it.
When the day for installation arrived I was totally pleased when I saw the team was headed by the same fabricator who had made the templates. The only setback was an electrical storm that knocked out my power just before they arrived and had also turned my yard into mud. The installers took extra steps to ensure they weren't tracking the mud into my house. My contractor brought in a generator and installation was finished. The installers cleaned up and left no trace of having been here.
There were two bonuses that I had not been expecting. They left me with the large piece cut from the material for installation of the kitchen sink. In the unlikely event I will ever need a repair I now have a perfectly matched section of material for that repair. They also left me with two nicely sized trivets with skid proof feet that match the countertop and can be used as cutting boards or trivets as desired.
I had thought of having concrete counter tops or possibly even quartz. Now that I've been living with Kerrico's poured resin counters and vanity tops I'm really glad my contractor steered me in this direction.
