He lied to us repeatedly and blamed third parties for the delay when it was his responsibility as general contractor to keep the project moving. Make sure to put a time frame into contract with enough penalties to make him move. To get a bid in writing from him is as challenging as to get him stay true to his word. Make sure you have a contract written in stone and checked by your lawyer before you commit to him as general or sub for any work.
