Our AC unit wasn’t working. Our home warranty company sent these fools. They said that our control board wasn’t working. They said that there was evidence of smoke and water damage so our home warranty wouldn’t cover it. They wouldn’t tell me where this supposed board was located. My dad went down and flipped on a power switch and now it’s working perfectly. Never use these people. They are rude and dishonest.

Going through my home warranty and was assigned key elements the Tech came out to look at my unit, said our filter was dirty and looked as if we hadn’t changed it in months when it had just been changed a week prior to them coming out cause we were trying to see if that would help and it didn’t so we called to have a “professional” come look at it. Tech said it was low on antifreeze so he added some then said that our evaporator coils was plugged. Told the home warranty company this so I was told I had to pay for it. The tech that was sent out never even looked at my evaporator coil this I know cause none of the tape that was around the door of the evaporator coil cover had been taken off. There is no way you can look at the coils without taking the cover off. By the time I got home at 5:30 my unit was already frozen again and the tech left at 2. I called to tell my home warranty that my unit was freezing and they told me that until I had my coils cleaned they couldn’t do anything. I Informed them that there was no way that that was the case we had them cleaned at the end of the year last year when we had everything Serviced they reopened our claim and had me reach out to key elements to come relook at our unit. I called to have them come back out and they refused to come look at the unit saying it was lack of maintenance and that until what was suggested was done they would continue to report that it needed to be cleaned. After fighting with the manager at key elements for over 45 minutes and being told that I don’t know what I’m talking about that they sent their best tech to take care of us and they were standing by their techs side on this not listening to anything I had to say at all. Please keep in mind the tech was only at my house for maybe 15 minutes which is no way long enough time to do everything he said he did. I was then told by key elements to get a second opinion and if that second opinion said different they would make things right. I called the home warranty place and informed them of that and was told I would have to pay for a second opinion ok fine I will but it will be of my choosing. I had another company come out who spent 45 minutes here looking over everything. My evaporator coils that we were told were plugged were actually corroded and missing some in spots, and my main unit that key elements never looked at has a softball size whole in the coils and fins that are missing which means there is a huge leak. None of this was reported to my warranty place. The warranty place tried to get key elements to come back out like we were told they would once we got a second opinion and they are refusing to answer my calls or the warranty place calls so they are having to send a different company out. I have now been without ac for 3 weeks. Was just sent another tech from another company to look at my unit and low and behold guess what he found. My unit needs to be replaced. I will never use key elements or recommend them to anyone. They are a horrible company and do not stand by their word.

Sounds like Damien was the problem. I had excellent service from Jon. Ask for him.

By J. T.May 28, 2019AC Tune Up$75Read more
This is the only site that has Key Elements HVAC Inc listed, so I'm adding my negative experience.
My home warranty offered an AC Tune-Up for a low price, but didn't say what company was contracted in my area. Once I signed up and saw it was Key Elements, I found the other negative reviews and grew concerned.
I too was assigned Damian in a 6 hour window (11 am - 5 pm). I work all day, but made it work. He didn't come until after 6 pm (at least I was home from work?). He was tired, couldn't handle answering my simple questions (slow processing), had another house to get to, and said my AC didn't have power to it so he couldn't do anything. Couldn't wash it down, check the levels, do anything? Really? It turned out the exterior breaker panel just wasn't labeled correctly, but he didn't take any time to trouble shoot. He said he'd have to mark his visit as "complete" even though he did nothing.
So I got charged by my home warranty who assumed I received an AC Tune -Up, when really I got scammed and my home warranty got scammed. I had to go through a huge process to get my home warranty to refund me, because they had to pay Key Elements for their "service visit."
Key Elements = what a scam. I do NOT recommend them for anything, especially not Damian.
Oh, and I figured out the power issue after he left (but I didn't want him back). I had a highly recommended HVAC guy out two days later who did a meticulous tune up and cleaning of the system and answered my questions about how to care for my unit moving forward.

By JtayMarch 7, 2019Warranty company hired them to inspect our furnace
I would give 0 stars if I could! Damien tells us one thing and the warranty company another so they deny our claim. Damien told the warranty company that our coil was tampered with and intentionally damaged so because of this they could not approve our claim. Damien told us it was dirty and some fins were damaged but that could be from normal wear and tear or the fact it was dirty. He also told the warranty company it was not properly maintained and that the filter was filthy. We changed the filter when we purchased the home 1 month ago, so the filter was in fact NOT filthy! When we asked for a copy of the invoice we were told we could not have one because they work for the warranty company. It all sounds pretty shady and that he works with the warranty company to help deny claims.

Terrible service.I have home warranty with Landmark. Guy name Damien showed up basically his behavior was that he has something else better to do. Stated blower wheel is out of balance, blower shaft *POSSIBLY slightly bad and he also recommended cleaning and its due to mechanical failure. So I told Damien to stick around because I have to file claim with Landmark and they wont accept claim unless its confirmed by tech, guy did not wait took off. I called Landmark and started claim everything was going okay until Landmark contacted contractor and he stated it was due to poor maintenance. Landmark closes claim tell me I need to pay out of my own expense. I would not recommend this company to anyone poor services and you wont get anything done with them except spent more money and time because Damien does not call back at all and you will have to call him couple times to get hold of him

Very poor service. They started a job at our rental property, then took forever to finish it. The person in the office didn't know what was going on. I will not use this company again or recommend it in any way.
