Erickson Custom Homes built our retirement home and we could not be more pleased.
In the past, we had always purchased a home that was already constructed. The thought of going through the custom home process was a little daunting to us to say the least. We had so many ideas, questions and absolutely no knowledge about how to go about putting all of this into our new home. We were very excited when we met with the Erickson team because we immediately felt comfortable with their knowledge and willingness to work with us and our ideas.
Our home is our dream home and we could not be more proud of the finished result and the quality of work that was put into all aspects of it. The ECH team helped us from start to finish from putting our ideas into architectural drawings to guiding us in where to pick the items to go in our home. They helped us work within our budget and gave us options when needed.
We plan on living in our very custom home for the rest of our days.

We sold our Erickson Custom Home last year after building it several years ago. Currently we are working with a different builder after moving to another state. Wow what a difference! We miss the family friendly team we had with Erickson! The process was as different as night and day! We feel like a cashed check now, but with the Erickson team we felt like we were having a family member build our home. The resale of the our home was as easy as the building since the custom features and quality held up and showed as it was new. It was on the market for only a week and full asking price. These guys rock!

I am very unhappy with my experience with Erickson Custom Homes. I am a retired senior citizen and hired Alan Erickson to build my retirement home. All he did was take my money and leave me with an unfinished house. I feel taken advantage of. I built a home prior to this and never had any experience like this. I wish I never would have hired him or his company Erickson Custom Homes. He made me pay for things before the work was started, never gave me any receipts, never would show me any documentation of where my money went or how it was spent and he never gave me a copy of the signed contract, nor would he tell me how much longer or how much more money it would cost to finish it. I finally had to hire another company to come and try to fix it just so I could pass inspection and move in, but there are many, many things still wrong with the house. I had to spend $50k in attorney fees, go to a jury trial and the judge and jury declared the $35k mechanics lien placed on my home was invalid and unenforceable. I am now free to get my house finished, get my mortgage and get my life back!
