Clean out garage, get rid of vehicles and clean out and demolish chicken coop

My experience working with Keystone Hauling and Landscaping LLC was not good. I had hired them in the summer of 2023 to do cleanup work in a house when a family member was in a nursing home for a few months and that work was done good. Our family member passed away last July 2024, so I needed help cleaning the oversized garage that used to be a barn in the 1940s ,50s and 60s. it was now filled with cars, trucks tools equipment etc...I also had about 70 more cars, trucks and junk vehicles in the yard around the garage that needed to be sold or taken as junk. I also had an old chicken coop that need cleaned out and demolished. On Labor Day last year, his family came to help, A few weeks went by, no one came, I called, and he said his mother and a coworker was coming at 9:00 am, she didn't come, but another young man came and that was not until 10:30 am. They cleaned out an old trailer full of decorations until 4:00 pm. Mr. Felosky said he wanted to get the cars out first. I paid him cash upfront which was a hugh mistake on my part, but I trusted him to do the job. I kept calling because nothing was being done because he said he had so many delays in getting the machinery, In October 2024 Mr. Felosky hired a gentleman to help haul all the junk cars away, so he had to pay him $60.00 a car, meanwhile Mr, Felosky put the cars that were salvageable on Facebook to sell, we made a decent profit out of that , we were going to split the money for that. He said the oversized garage would be a winter project, well it was already 7 weeks into winter and nothing was being done. Prior to this he said I had to rent a dumpster which was $640.00 to put the old material junk in and he had a dumpster for the scrap. He asked for another one for me to rent and I said no, that's your responsibility to get the trucks, equipment etc to use to do the job. He said he would come Oct.15, didn't come. Called on Nov 4,said he was finishing a project and should be done by Nov 15. The Next week was the week before Thanksgiving, which he wasn't aware of. I called back on Dec 3, he said he would come on Dec. 10, never came never called me. I called later that afternoon, he said he was coaching his son's basketball game, was busy and FORGOT!! Christmas was coming in 2 weeks, so I thought I'd wait until after the holidays. I left him a message on January 14, 2025 a week went by with no response again. I wrote him a formal letter with a needed response by Feb. 4, 2025 ,I split the money with him for the cars , but he kept all the scrap money, which was to be split with me also, because he had to pay the towing company. (which was back in October 2024. My aim was to work together for a resolution in this project, because it was a large one. These discrepancies not only undermine the integrity of this project but also delayed our timeline significantly. I had to take him to court to sue for the money owed back to me. The judge ruled in my favor, he had 30 days to appeal, but did not, which was up on June 7, 2025. He said he should have the money of $2,707.25, in July 2025, which i wanted at least a thousand more, but I agreed to what the judge said. July has come and gone; it is now August 5, 2025. I am going to pursue another legal matter at the court house tomorrow for a certified judgement, it will be on record so he is going to have some complications. Since his failure to address my requests and phone calls, it has compelled me to consider this review, something I have never done before. My concern is that if any of you are considering work from him, think twice and check out someone reputable. Don't pay cash, most ask half for materials, then when the job is completed, pay the rest if done the way you wanted according to the contract. I wanted the people of Cambria County to know about this company, so you don't get in the same predicament that I am in now . It is very hard for me to trust anyone now, although we had 4 other companies (after he fell through) to help us get our work done and they were great. Quality, commitment and integrity are the keys. Be aware, good luck on your projects! A concerned citizen.
