I recommend AVOIDING THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
My family was completing a whole house renovation project. Our contractor hired KGM-A Drywall for demo and drywall repair/texturing. They were asked to repair the drywall and retexture all the walls/ceiling of the entire house.
We had several major issues with this company:
- We asked the demo team to keep the mirrors, light fixtures, and fans (most of which were new from the sale of the house)
- They marked everything with permanent markers and threw the items into one big pile in the garage resulting in ~$2,000 of damage, since we could no longer use virtually any of those items
- The demo team damaged/chipped the fireplace mantle, front door, toilet seats, windowsills, and >15 of the new flooring tiles
- The demo team broke several sink pipes when removing bathroom vanities, which resulted in multiple leaks/water damage
- The demo team threw away several closet shelves/racks that were going to be reused
- The demo team had taken down the plastic sheet barrier we placed over the built-in shelf in the garage that had a lot of our kitchen appliances
- They torn down the plastic, used the microwave, and did not clean out the burrito that had exploded inside the microwave
- Multiple messages went unanswered regarding the demo/drywall crews leaving trash, food scraps, broken glass, and house debris throughout inside/outside of the house and in the yard/plants
- We asked the contractor and drywall team several times over a couple weeks to cover the vanities/chandeliers/showers/flooring with plastic
- I had to go in person and ask them to cover everything
- The drywall team started applying the wrong texture to the inside of the house despite telling them numerous times the correct texture we had chosen
- The drywall team covered and did not label vents, coaxial cable outlets, and the thermostat wiring
- We had a hard time finding all of the outlets, and never found some that were covered by new drywall
- The majority of the new/old outlets and plumbing cleanouts were covered with texture
- The drywall team dumped texture bucket water all throughout the yard permanently staining our lawn/plants
- The drywall team never sanded the new orange peel drywall
- The new orange peel texture was uneven and looked like popped bubbles in several rooms
- They left several gouges and lines in the new texture that were never repaired
We had to spend a lot of time, money, and energy repairing all of the damage inflicted by this company. I strongly recommend against using them for any projects.
