Warning to all that hire this contractor. I have a new home less then a year old and the soil underneath the driveway is eroding away due to improperly compacting the soil. Gene has refused to address this even though I’m under warranty and it’s signed over to me by the builder and notarized. I’ve also been given a contract list where I’m fully within my rights to call contractors my self for any warranty concerns based on a notarized and signed contract during the purchase of my home. However Gene said he only answers to the builder. Well the builder will not respond to me or contact Gene so unfortunately Gene wants to have his customers take the long and painful route of a lawsuit. My lawyer will be contacting gene. I have pictures where you can see a cave underneath the driveway. Ran a tape measure and was able to push it across the driveway over 5 feet without any dirt blocking the path. This is a major structural flaw and the fact gene is not taking it seriously and refuses to even look at the issue or talk to me should be warning enough. This contractor would rather be sued then honor his work and warranties. Pm me for pictures if you want to see the cave underneath my driveway I’m keeping it well documented because each day that passes water, critters, etc are only making the issue worse. It’s sad when contractors think they can skirt by laws and not have to honor signed and notorized transfer of warranties from builder to home buyer. Per the contract I signed Gene has to answer to me because the warranty was transferred to me as the buyer and he has refused. You have been warned!! Find a legit excavator who doesn’t want to be sued and wants to address warranties and concerns. There is no ethics behind this type of practice.
