Person from Kirkland and Shaw Inc. (Andy) came over to fix an issue with pulsating water in 2 showers.
It took me 5 min. to explain the issue, and took him another 10 min. to replace both shower heads. The water flow was now better.
He stayed a total of 15 minutes.
Later, I get a bill of.... $220! So the plumber was working at a rate of over $15/minute!
Great part of their scam tactics is they are not telling you how much it is beforehand. I didn’t get a chance! Before I knew – the 10 minutes was over!
Their ad claims “Free estimates!” – That’s a lie.
The invoice says "Material (2 shower heads): $76" – That’s another rip-off – the real price is $22. I found online the exact SAME shower head at both Home Depot and Amazon for $11 (instead of $38). So, they ripped me off $50 only on material.
Assuming the shower-head price difference could be an honest mistake, I called their office. Person on the phone, Paul, turns unfriendly as soon as he learns the reason for my call. His whole attitude was as if they get this often but they don’t care.
