I have lived in a Kit Carin house since 1996-and even with the best possible care given, the house has fallen apart piece by piece and virtually everything has been replaced at considerable cost. It looks great when you go, but plan on massive problems in the future. Steer Clear!!

Kit builds a very high quality home and everything he puts in it is superior Riceland cabinets are all quality and custom built. Won’t find a more honest respectful person. Everything in construction must pass codes so the step story above is utter crap

This company and their poor quality work almost cost me my life. I would never recommend it to anyone. The basement steps were not installed properly and collapsed while I was on the 2nd step. I almost lost my leg and have spent the past 2 years in PT trying to get it to function again. I have nothing good to say about this company and afte my accident have spoken to many of my neighbors who have all had negative issues from the low quality work that they do.

I am not impressed with the quality of the house that he built for me. Any concerns that were brought up during construction were glossed over and nothing was done about it. Cheap materials throughout the house. I will not go into details but basically, he built the house the way he wanted not the way we wanted. If any question about upgrading or changing anything it was extra. I am not impressed at all.

The home I purchased from kit was absolutely very well constructed.It was a pleasure doing business with Kit so honest and has great integrity. The cabinetry was custom and of excellent quality.

I would not recommend having any work done by Kit. This box is not big enough to list all the issues we had with a brand new house listed for nearly $400,000 originally. To say he cuts corners like the review just prior to mine, would be an understatement. There were leaks in 2 out 3 bathrooms. Leak at the kitchen sink. Concrete driveway lifted during winter and crushed the trim around both garage doors. The yard had pieces of road with the double yellow lines painted on it. The yard has pieces of pipe, metal banding, huge rocks, not level, large drop offs at the driveway and front sidewalk. 3 Landscaping companies said it was probably the worst yard they seen for a house in this price range. The first day we moved in the furnace filled the house with smoke and nothing but problem after problem with the heating and A/C after that. Some work not even up to code. The furnace company will not honor the factory warranty because the unit was not installed according to manufacture standards. I could go on and on with the lies in person, in text messages, and voicemails. Lets just say if I was able to rate with negative stars I definitely would. Kit build many houses in a local development and I never met one homeowner of a Kit built house that would ever recommend his company to a friend or family member. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE LIES LIES LIES

I bought a house built by Kit and got to say, he definetely cuts every corner and puts very little quality in. No trim in closets! No diffusers in on basement duct work. Had to add insulation. Garage wasn't insulated, house attic was short on insulation! Terrible concrete work, cheap siding, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXty drywall work! All I will say is the kitchen looks nice, but you can tell the Riceland cabinets are only gonna last a few years. Junk
