We hired Michael (“Mike”) Hung Nguyen / KMK Builders to renovate our house and to expand it.
We found them to be very unprofessional, lacking attention to detail, always delayed, sometimes incompetent / unqualified. Their lack of project management was quite obvious. They rarely delivered on any promises they made. The quality of work was often questionable.
They were supposed to finish the entire project in 6 months. At the end of 6 months they had only managed to get the rough inspections done; all the delay is only because of themselves. Now they have abandoned the project shamelessly.Worst yet, we paid Mike huge sums to pre-order materials for us in Jan/Feb 2024. He kept lying to us that he ordered them. In fact he never did but took all the money. And since Aug 2024, he is completely ghosting us. No money, no work, no materials, no response! WHAT A FRAUD!
We have complained to CSLB about Mike / KMK Builders. A legal action is warranted. Avoid doing business with Mike and anyone associated with him. We deeply regret hiring and trusting him. Take our advice and stay away from them - he and his associates are not worthy of your trust, time, and money.

We hired Michael H Nyugen (license #1078574) who we had worked with before 4 years back. We trusted him and gave him a huge sum of money for an ongoing project at our house and he has completely ghosted us since past 2 weeks. He has blocked our numbers and hasn’t responded to any emails or calls. He had given us fake order numbers saying he placed order for the materials and none of those orders were ever placed when we called the vendors.
We later found out that he has been doing this to multiple people in the Bay Area. His license is currently suspended and there is already a case against him in the Sunnyvale PD and also a civil court case. We have notified the DA and CSLB regarding the same. Please try to circulate this message to as many people as you can as he is still shamelessly undertaking projects and conning people. He recently moved from SJ and bought a house in Lathrop. So if you know anyone in that area please let them know as well.
