Extremely disappointing experience. American Home Shield sent a technician named Kenny to inspect my AC. He didn’t even touch the unit and falsely claimed the issue wasn’t covered because I had caused the damage. That was completely untrue. I later found his business page, and many others described having the exact same experience—no real inspection, just a quick denial. It's clear AHS does not properly vet contractors and allows this pattern to continue. This is not what I expect from a company I pay to protect my home. AHS needs to take accountability and overhaul its contractor network.

Very very very poor experience. I have a major Evaporator/ Coil leak . I don't understand is how I'm paying monthly payments and still have to come out of pocket for something that has nothing to do with my leak. They were called out to repair the issue twice and still not able to repair the leak. Then mentioned that it's not covered in my insurance so I have to pay them $3000.00 to repair it, and that's included with adding Freon. My leak is what's important and they over look the leak. So I'll say to everyone who read this. Never conduct business with Kool Guys Air & Cooling. I'll give them -0 Stars. And American Home shield -0 Stars. Hopefully they get sued and loose their before they keep doing loyal customers wrong.

This company does not answer phones or returns calls. If you call too much, Kenny, the manager, will call you to complain to you about calling. Kenny is completely unprofessional, accuses the customer of not being truthful, and will not work with you even when the original problem the company came out to fix did not fix the problem. When they finally came out the first time to fix the problem, they told me what I said wasn't the issue, fixed "another problem" and left. Within 30 days, the SAME problem is occurring. Called American HomeShield, who send out an email immediately to this company to come down as high priority (I15 degree heat-and I had to leave within 2 days to travel out of state that I could not cancel). I also left them a message that afternoon. After waiting two hour the next day for them to call, I called them and big surprise no one answered. I had saved in my phone Kenny, the man with no customer service skills, number and called him. Kenny remembered me from the first time, and already started off being defensive and non accommodating. I was told by Kenny, that yes they saw the email, but would not address the issue without a work order. So I guess they were just going to ignore it. I already paid 100 dollars to fix the problem the first time, why should I have to pay again especially since what they did to fix the issue didn't work? I told him I had recorded on my phone the problem it was having, but he told me that they don't rely on "recordings" if they don't hear it on their visit, they don't consider it a problem. As I am writing this, I am still waiting for them to come down-I am assuming they will come down after I have to leave since I have to rely on Kenny who did not send someone out promptly the first time. Hopefully this will not destroy my AC. This company should do themselves a favor and retrain their manager in customer service skills.

Not a good business. Left my ac not working. Didn't leave notice they needed to install txm valve and freon. Just left me hanging. Never called. I did leave a text message, no return.

The worst!! Our old AC unit died and initially Kool Fools came out and provided a report to American Home Shield. Then, that was it!! They never responded again after numerous messages and attempts to call even by the warranty company. Who does that in 108f degree heat!! You’re foolish to even consider these losers trust me.

Poor customer service. Failed to stand behind their work. Came out on an AHS call. Diagnosed as a bad compressor. Replaced but charged 2200 for Freon. Part came two weeks later and a tech came out. Replaced the part. Filled the Freon and left. Although it called the house, the unit was extremely loud and sounded like it was rubbing metal on metal. It woke us up at night. Can't believe it was left like that. Not quality work. Called and Kenny called ahs but indicated they wouldn't fix or replace as it was cooling. The unit was not fixed to equal the condition it was in. When we emailed again about our dissatisfaction he called and asked if we would stop sending nasty messages. I told him I called ahs and they said they would send a new unit and allow us to keep the current one until the new one arrives. When Kenny called he said he'd by happy to take the loud one out and send it back to wait for the replacement. I said ahs said we could keep the unit until the other arrived but he said that's not how it works. He said he wasn't paying for a compressor while awaiting the new one. He was going to allow us to go without ac in 110+ heat to wait for the replacement part rather than letting us keep the one that at least cooled so he wouldn't have to pay for the part in advance. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
